New Pics: Black Diamond in the Snow

I used to hate the stock steel wheels, now I think I want them! Also, the stock tires do not look too bad in these pics.

Black Diamond Bronco (Shadow Black) Side Shot and Interior

I thought the basically the same. You got to be able to fit 285 70 r17, right?

    Base Model Bronco Thread

I feel like the non SQ base tires/wheels are almost meant to be take offs. The tires from Big Bend & Black Diamond 32's will fit on the base. Tires on 17" rim Big Bend: H 32.06" x W 10.04" Black Dia: H 31.61" x W 10.43 The million dollar question is will 285 70 r17 fit? base 3.73 gearing is...

    Maximum Tire Size (Big Bend)

Nobody knows the answer yet. There appears to be a ton of room but until someone tires it... I think 285s would look good lower trim levels. The tire might be too wide without a lift. Also, might be too much tire for 3.73 gearing. I was thinking about maybe even trying 275 70 r17. The...

    34"s the perfect size?

You have a lot of great points. My comments below are regarding a 4 door. I have really been struggling with tire size on this vehicle. Especially, because we have to commit to a trim level with so many unknowns. Also, not even seeing the Bronco in person. I think SQ looks good and well...

2 door Bronco Badlands (Cyber Orange) seen at Ford R&D center

I think these wheels look good. However, I feel they are a six spoke copy of the JL rubicon wheels. It kinda bothers me.

    Sasquatch VS Rubicon

This makes me feel a little better after looking at the Black Diamond vs Rubicon thread. I was getting really disappointed.

Black Diamond Bronco (Cyber Orange) spotted next to Jeep Wrangler Rubicon -- 2 Doors Compared

I agree about being designed around 35's. Especially on the 4 door. The Rubicon is designed around 33's and it show in it's proportions.

There is a good chance the jeep only has 285's on. They look better.

Black Diamond Bronco (Cyber Orange) spotted next to Jeep Wrangler Rubicon -- 2 Doors Compared

I did not want to be the first person to say it... I had the same thought. However, it is not a fair comparison because it is a rubicon. It is like when there was a jeep sport parked next to a Sasquatch. I really am not liking the 265 70 tires.

I looked again. I agree with you. The MGV & Advanced 4x4 is worth the small amount of increase. It is back to your original question, Base vs BD

    Base Model Bronco Thread

I have very similar builds but also a 2.7 mid BB as well. I am struggling with two issues, with option 1 - non SQ 2.3 4 door Base: -the 3.73 gearing. Will this limit my tire size above 32". I would like an option to add 285 70r17 (~33's). If immediately replacing wheels and tires, I would...

    Black Diamond Aftermarket Wheels

I am considering going base 4 door with black am race Baja. Try to fit 285 (3.73 gears might be doggy) worst case 255 75 r17. however the pricing then becomes close to big bend.

Race Red Black Diamond 4 Door Soft Top on Black Steel Wheels

I feel the same way. The 4 door just doesn't look right to me without SQ. I said it in another thread but it is like the designers build the body for 35's. I do think 285's will look better but who know what it takes to fit. Also, I have a hard time purchasing a higher trim just to...

4Runner vs Bronco Overland Concept side by side [more photos added]

Thanks for the pic. I am surprised how much smaller the bronco looks maybe it is the angle. This concept vehicle needs SQ lift. It looks undrivable. A speed bump would rip fenders off. Surprised Ford shows it this way. I wonder what the non SQ Bronco would look like in this pic.
