Yeah, the aluminum could crack unless it's the right alloy. 3003 Aluminum Sheet is good for bending.
Your right though, some of the other aluminum alloys aren't too good for bending and can crack, etc. like you said!

I was on another forum site and had an "Evil" encounter! I almost inadvertently hit a report button, but then thought of Vigor, calmed down, got a hold of myself, and prevented history from repeating itself.

I wanted a picture of this thing in the snow with a good background that would take 2.5 minutes of time near work.
(was hoping for more snow to romp in, but resorted to taking this picture as the backup plan). I'll go romping next time!
Yeah, it's aluminum... So much for magnets! And even with aluminum panels, it's still 5k pounds!
The aluminum has better material memory, so it might reduce the chances of denting as easily as steel does.
