  1. New aftermarket for previous gen Broncos?

even in the mustang, the 2.3 and the 5.0 have different bell housings (at least in the 6R80 variants) so I'm not sure the F150 one would work... maybe the 2.7/3.5 EB trans to have the same bell pattern? Would be so freaking cool if they went to a separate/modular bell housing like T56 I...
  2. 2-Door 2021 Bronco Prototype Makes Grand First Appearance, Bombing Through Snow and Catching Air!

Makes you wonder how people just randomly happen to be waiting in the forest with their camera/phone ready to take pics of a prototype in full camo flying around catching air... ...showing that 2in of IFS travel...
  3. New aftermarket for previous gen Broncos?

Wonder how hard it would be to swap a 2.3 ecoboost into a bronco 2... Been watching ebay for 2.3 EBs, but the ranger ones with a 4x4 tranny and transfer case don't come up that often... 2wd (mustang) ones are much more common... I have a buddy with a 78 bronco that's been sitting for at least...
  4. Brazil gets what some of us want!!!! in the troller

I didn't use their mpg - I wasn't in the UK - i used their even weirder (even though I grew up with it) liters per 100 km to convert to our MPG. I don't think anyone in europe outside the UK uses imperial. Europe is definitely trying to one up us by banning all fossil fuel vehicles...that...
  5. Brazil gets what some of us want!!!! in the troller

This happens a lot with small vehicles, especially diesels. We have the worst emissions, and in order to pass them, small vehicles that work ok in other parts of the world would need to get bigger engines, not always have room for those, more protection, get heavier and so on. I was making a...
  6. Brazil gets what some of us want!!!! in the troller

Jesus, that is awesome. I would probably order one on the first day orders would be open...
  7. Newly Spied: 2021 Bronco in Rugged Trim!

Good point, probably a Ford employee testing out the competition :D
  8. Ford becomes "Official Vehicle" of King of the Hammers; does this mean Bronco will be there?

To make an IFS travel you have to lengthen the arms... inwards or outwards. inwards you're not gonna do that very well in a 5000 lb vehicle because that diff needs to be fairly beefy - and not the size of a grapefruit like the UTV ones are. Outwards it makes the vehicle too large to be...
  9. Ford becomes "Official Vehicle" of King of the Hammers; does this mean Bronco will be there?

One did, with wheels, tires and a skid plate as the only mods: https://www.utvsportsmag.com/press-release/maverick-sport-conquers-koh/ That's exactly what I have. except mine has insurance and registration. The only reason it completed it is it's 64" wide weighs 1600lbs. It cannot climb...

  11. Newly Spied: 2021 Bronco in Rugged Trim!

Yep, time will tell how the 7.3 holds up, it has every chance to be a winner. Big inch low power, low rpm, low stress, few components... I do think some DOHC heads with TI-VCT and direct injection on the 6.2 would have made more power and better economy... but it would have been way more...
  12. Newly Spied: 2021 Bronco in Rugged Trim!

Yes, I am talking about the DPF... and I'm not using my F450 for grocery runs, but I could definitely see an F150 3.0 or a bronco - if it had that - used for such... I monitor those temps as I don't want to end up at a campsite in the woods and have the underside of the truck at those temps...
  13. Newly Spied: 2021 Bronco in Rugged Trim!

You're crazy if you think you'll be able to fit 34s on the base model stock... on the 60 grand raptor model, sure. Today's diesels will only go that if you delete them... the emissions garbage is killing them. The gassers will go 200k miles as they're no longer the crappy pushrods that were...
  14. ⊙⊙ How Big Do You Like Them? ⊙⊙

He also enlarged the rim, so if that was a 31 on a 18" rim, then when you crank that up another ~1/3, it makes the rim look like a 24" rim... that adds to the proportion not looking right. That JK is on 17" rims.
  15. ⊙⊙ How Big Do You Like Them? ⊙⊙

Yeah, they don't look proportional at all... heh. But I think some of that is because he didn't lift it enough to make it look right - he only moved the wheels down just a tad; and with the snow you don't really get a frame of reference compared to the other pics.
  16. ⊙⊙ How Big Do You Like Them? ⊙⊙

It depends on the vehicle and size. My side by side will do on 30s what my Rubicon did on 35s, so until we get a good idea how this thing will look (and I don't mean looks wise, I mean breakover angles and such), until then that question is hard to answer. On wranglers, I'd go 35s on 2 doors...

We also need 1 bay for installing angry eyes, light bars, and Rotopax cans.
  18. Spy Video, Underbody / Suspension and Interior Closeups of 2021 Bronco Prototype!

Oh, I fully agree that backspacing and a lot of the variation between tire manufacturers can make or break a fit... on the wrangler, it wasn't even close to rubbing. I did have an F150 with a 2" leveling kit - was an 04 - and 35s - well, 315/70/17 BFG All Terrain TA KOs, and again no rub. But...
  19. Spy Video, Underbody / Suspension and Interior Closeups of 2021 Bronco Prototype!

Half my fleet will be up on craigslist within minutes and the call to my sales guy will be placed... Me too... best looking one since the 03/04 cobras. This was before the 325s went on, they stick out too much for it to look good. These were 275 MTs :( And the ass shot with the 325s, in its...
