I have an AC chase in my garage and decided to make use of it.
I built a simple frame out of 2x4's to hold the front two pieces of the hardtop. (I will be adding a second shelf below for the mid section hardtop)
for anyone interested:
72.75" Wide overall
The Vertical Opening for the top...
I added the Infinity Ref 4" today (found a set of 4 on amazon for $90)
they sound a TON better than the stock (comparing stock and REF both with the Kicker Key 200.4)
I used 600hz blockers in the front dash and Hoel Wiring harness for the plug & play speaker adapters.
Install was a solid 6...
it's the factory style amp, with factory wiring. I don't see that there is a specific Fuse for that?
Guess I will be attempting to reach in from the second row to unplug the amp??
thanks!!
New Question LOL
Does any one know of a way to run the Key DSP programming and turn off the sub?
I have the kicker sub installed and will be installing new Dash & Roll bar speakers and want to re-run the Key DSP settings, but will need to turn off the sub some how, right?
Has anyone installed the Fusion amp with 6.75 Kicker Sub then switched to the Ket 500.1?
Noticeable difference?
I read that the Fusion amp is ~200 watts, similar to the Key (4ohms).
Trying to decide if it's worth the $300 and additional labor (labor meaning re-doing the sub amp, installed...
This is what mine looks like, and so far (fingers crossed) no rattle.
I will add - I am looking at swapping the factory sub amp for the Kicker500.1. I think the sub is pretty underpowered at the moment.
Does any one have the seat belt chime chiming Extremely loud post installing the Kicker Key amp and turning "off" the EQ via FORScan? (same as the dink when you start the vehicle)
I am trying to figure out if there is anything I can do tone that down... but I understand the speaker are amp'd...
Yeah, mainly Decked products are super easy to install, use and holds a gooof cargo weight.
The product you mentioned above looks great for sure.
I have used the Deck drawer system and it was fantastic. I would love to see their quality in the Bronco line up
* I am not affiliated with Decked *
I reached out to Decked to see if they had plans to build / produce their Cargo Glide product. They responded (super quickly) and said there is potential if the customer demand is there, but no plans currently.
I am reaching out to this community to see...
We added a Rough Country 2" Lift to our Cactus Grey Outer Banks (non SAS). It was perfect to fit the Wildtrak wheels & Tires (35's)
I would bet you can swap out to 33's without any adjustments.
@Diode Dynamics - Do you have install instructions to mount this to a Curt Hitch without factory wiring?
Obviously it wouldn't be Plug & Play.
I would be curious if there is a way to wire the Backup light to an Aux switch?
I had to add some additional length to one side of the sub, but otherwise yes.
Cut off the connectors on the existing wiring harness and plug into the new sub. The Kicker sub doesn't require connectors, just exposed wire.
then I tucked it in the same channel as used before.
I removed the existing fake speaker and put a strip of weatherproof seal around the hole then mounted the Kicker Sub directly to the box, drilling new holes but used the existing hardware.
It fit and sealed very well, and currently no rattles.
I was able to get everything mounted and added some sound mat as well.
Did any one else have trouble getting FORScan to auto populate the check sums when changing the 727-01-01 and 7272-01-02 lines?
I had to quickly find other members' check sums and use those. Just curious if any one else...
without reading thru 48 pages, can someone confirm if receiving a less than the PCO amount has happened? I received my "rebate" for the original price protection on an OuterBanks and it was $150 shy of the correct amount.
I received it as a check from my dealer (super thankful for that). I...
