You are totally right....I just did a super quick search to show the size difference and wasn't paying attention to the labels/arrows (I didn't label them).
Yes they are significantly different. SFA uses a significantly beefier Tie Rod and a Drag Link to accomplish what the 2 Tie Rods on IFS do. Ignore the aftermarket axle, the steering components here are factory JLU Rubicon.
I plan to go back again and fiddle with the seats some more and take some measurements. I am pretty sure the B-pillar is much bigger and wider in the Bronco than the jeep...probably due to airbags etc. From my last Bronco/Jeep drives I can say the following:

Perhaps you are right. After 20 years in Engineering I can assure you that we are not going to figure out all the differences on a forum. Too many dimensions and parts that could be different materials, etc. I am going to trust the Design Review process and hope the bean-counters weren't dumb...
