I got my built email and am screaming!! 2-door black diamond, 2.3 auto, very few mods 😍 arriving to Arizona between aug 13-19 (reservation first night of reveal, ordered 2/22, blend 7/14)
I put in my BD order on Friday (after going back and forth between a Base with a lot of aftermarket changes) and I'm so psyched! It feels so good to have finally made a decision and not have to use the build and price tool for an 80th time lol.
2.3 Auto - 2 door MIC - Area 51 - keypad - floor...
I am! 2.3 Base Base with Sound-Deadener, Keypad, and Floor Liners for my DD :)
I'll probably swap wheels/tires immediately, and get leather seating eventually, but I'm quite happy with it as-is!! Now, if I could only decide on black or white...
Well, I have no clue what I'm doing anymore lol. I keep getting pulled back to Base, and the thought of immediately swapping tires for 32" and adding katzkins... The value is amazing, and it looks so good!! Now just have to decide, white or black...
I'm a bit worried how the wrap will hold up here in Phoenix... direct sun all day (my work doesn't have a garage, so it'll bake outside) plus common summer temps over 115 degrees. I'd be concerned about it damaging paint when it came time to remove due to those conditions, or it not lasting as...
I've narrowed it down to 4 paths forward for my two-door and am trying to decide! It'll be my daily driver, used for camping trips but no crazy rock-crawling. I'm expecting to add automatic 2.3, floor covers, sound-deadening, keypad, and roof rack to all models.
1. Base model - Add a $4000...
Every time I add mid package, it makes the automatic free on the big bend and black diamond... the mid package is cheaper than the automatic, so that's got to be a glitch, right?
This is my exact debate... Do I get a 2-door Big Bend with auto and add whatever I want custom over the next few years (new lights and maybe a new grille, possibly side steps, leather seats with heating/cooling, backup sensors) for around $42,000 or get an Outer Banks standard and get basically...
It's amazing how much seeing the color on the whole vehicle helps vs. the paint cans. Black and area 51 have won me over, and this color (just.. yucky) and reds have totally turned me off.
32s look great though! I'm pleased to see the standard hard top and wheels on BB will work for me just fine :)
The two door looks so good... but I may hate myself buckling infant seats back there in a few years, especially in a dress and heels from work (daily driver). Plus, I'm loving the roof tent option, so 4 door might be my move. Need B&P to be sure.
We've had nothing but great experiences with Jones Ford in Buckeye! Bought three mustangs and a Fusion from them over the last 15 years for our family. John is the best--still calls me every year on my car's "birthday," and they've always honored X-plan.
Seriously considering wrapping or painting mine the minute it arrives! I don't like any of the Base color options, so I might as well get my dream shade of green/blue. II'm going to use it as a daily driver and I live in Phoenix, so the potential for summer sun damage is there (my current job...
I'm almost certain that I'll be getting a four door base and painting/wrapping it (I just didn't love any of the base colors unfortunately... wish they'd do cactus grey for all models)! Need to do more research on whether a wrap or paint will last better in nasty Arizona summers, but for now...
