Well said in the above replies. Besides the common spare parts, depending on your adventure area if you are alone or in a small group, and potentially will be far off the non reception path, I would suggest something like a Garmin InReach satellite messenger for the "oh shit" button...
Seems to me the primary question OP had was who carries a portable impact...secondary for recommendations.
This quickly became about brand loyalty and so on, but I would love to hear more about use cases other than lug nuts. Practical on the trail repairs where you would not care what brand...
To mount my lights for the 2x2 setup, I got this one from SPV Parts. The wider 40” version. Works great with modular bumper.
SPV Parts light mount bracket
Rigid 6” 360 combo and spot on modular bumper and Baja Designs LP4’s up top at A pillars, all wired on relays triggered by aux switches and amber backlighting powered by side marker tap. Both the Rigid and Baja Designs lights have been awesome and high quality.
Running some Oracle yellow fogs...
Not fully replacing, but Bronco is my camping, backpacking, wheeling rig. Still have mad love for my tuned Audi S5 dadmobile putting out about 520 horse and 600 foot pounds of torque on E85. A bit of a sleeper, love em both!
Maybe the scanner / detection modules are aligned high and more easily reading and auto opening due to Bronco height and vertical windshield? Assuming sticker is on windshield?
I found myself in the same situation, my 2018 Audi S5 headlights…are light years ahead of the Bronco pun intended.
I was looking at the various upgrades but for 1-2k (some trade in options offered once in a while) I ended up with Oracle yellow fogs and they do wonders.
Now having said that...
I have the first gen Jackery 1000 since introduced and a couple 100 w panels. For 2-4 day campouts the setup works well to run my Dometic CFX3 55l and charge basic phones, mattress inflators, and run some lighting. I was an early adopter, have also used my friends 1500 which is def bigger and...
Same here. I run a spot beam pair of Rigid 360's, combo beam pair of Rigid 360's, a pair of yellow Baja Designs LP4's, and finally Oracle fogs all using relays and Aux switches to trigger.
Great thread, not on my top 5 of Bronco mods list but I will say I absolutely LOVE the AWE exhaust I have on my B9 (2018) Audi S5 sportback running a 034 Motorsports tune and E85. Absolutely glorious pops and bangs, and zero drone inside 60k miles later. Very tempted to go AWE for the Bronco if...
I run 91 in the Bronco, the highest available in SoCal. I figure $5 difference for a full tank when we already $100 for a tank full won’t kill me and possibly long term better.
Now my 2018 Audi S5 Sportback is tuned stage 2 and heavily modified, running E85 which is a lot cheaper (yes burns 25%...
Got the rig cleaned up after Borrego and Idyllwild trail runs last couple of weeks (No mall crawler).
Cruising sunny San Diego beaches today topless with kiddo got two compliments.
First, Wind n Sea beach cruising 4 cute 20 something girls coming the opposite way yelled “we love your truck!” ...
Options for each persons use case. I sucked it up and went with ARB Twin under the hood...buy once, cry once. But it has been amazing and does not take up space in the vehicle which is nice. It works fast as mentioned above, and seems to be great quality.
I very seriously considered the Viair...
Just ordered!

My rear window seal consistently droops off in the middle and let’s a little water in. I live in SoCal so no big deal but annoyed. I figured instead of dealing with dealer BS just find some appropriate glue or what not, open window and put a clamp on it overnight in the garage but have not...
