Thanks so much for sharing your story. I haven't pulled the trigger on getting a Bronco yet, but when I do, it will definitely have an aftermarket top like ADV. Ford screwed up this design big time and it is an insult to owners to claim that cracks are "normal" on a $50K+ vehicle.
I agree with Layman. Ditch lights are not road legal in my state (Mass.) and probably most of the US. Mass. requires annual inspections where they would easily discover this if they were linked to the high beams, and they'd fail the car until they were disconnected.
The MIC needs a complete redesign. Ford phoned it in with 1.0, and 2.0 is just 1.0 with slightly rolled edges that still leave the inner cardboard layer exposed. The plastic layers are way too thin and the honeycomb will eventually show. It just amazes me that this top got past the prototype...
Per the Federal Trade Commission's Mail, Internet, and Telephone Order regulations, a merchant must conspicuously state the ship date or else the default date will be 30 days from receipt of the order. If products are delayed, the customer can agree to wait, but has the option to cancel anytime...
Any aftermarket speaker is going to sound better, much better, especially the tweeters.
Having puchased Ford's "premium" speakers for the past 20 years (and immediately replacing them), I can confirm that premium speakers are absolute garbage with cheap paper woofers and tweeters. The B&O...
Don't give up with the dealer. Talk to the manager, if you don't get any satisfaction, call Ford. Post a negative review online with photos. Also, your state very likely has a consumer protection law where you can send a written notice to the dealership and they have to formally respond within a...
Ford created this entire clusterfuck by having a "reservation" system that made people think that the consumer owned the reservation. You put the $100 down and created the build.
The reality is that the dealer holds the reservation and can screw you at every opportunity. The irony is that...
I still don't understand people (or alternate forums) who take "nothing to see here, move along" approach whenever major issues are raised. It's one thing to bitch about how the interior plastic looks, but another to complain about engine failures that could strand you in the middle of nowhere.
If you don't have it in writing, you're going to get screwed. Tell them you will pay their ADM, but you want the salesman to go over each and every feature of the vehicle. After you've wasted a good hour of his time, tell him you want to test drive it again, and give him the ride of his life...
