I know not apples to apples by any means but there are ways to make twin turbo engine bays presentable. Aftermarket will help with this for sure. Not worried about ease of mechanics for this as it's really simple on the 2.7 from the pics I've seen. Just pure aesthetics from my POV. ...

Not afraid at all. I too have experience with turbo engines and there's loads of ways to run piping/tubing to keep them clean. It just needs a refresh. A makeover. Some afterrmarket love. :)

I 100% am in the same boat. Not cross shopping with a Jeep, 4runner, or a truck. Am looking at Q5s, Atlas, XC60s, and the Mazda 6. Decisions decisions...

I believe FEs are First Editions, not first off the line. All FEs will be a 2021 model, but there will be other models out before ALL FEs are produced.

Chapman says they're getting 12... not including FEs. I'm number 15 in line as of 3/22 with 4 FEs ahead of me, making me #11. Fingers crossed my sins don't hold me back.
