About how heavy is it to lift on/off? Could myself and my average-sized 14 year old do it? I would only use the hard top like November-February here, so would take it on and off a few times.
Just put a piece of electrical tape over the logo if you don't like it. I did that for years over the Check Engine light that wouldn't shut off in my old Explorer and then I didn't have to see it anymore.
I know you said the final finish is not depicted, but will it be available in white? Or at least paintable without looking like birdshit? If it is available in white, I will buy one right now.
Also what is your distribution looking like? Direct shipping costs to the buyer or will you sell...
If you are starting with very simple and if it is reasonably priced, I'd happily take a white hardtop with no other bells and whistles. Or hell, send it primed and I'll get it painted.
Yes thank you for your help on this. I ended up having to go through Ford who had to get them direct from Method since the white are so rare. I'll be back to Discount for the tires for sure!
Method 703s in Oxford White. Been waiting on some decent whites for years now, I’m sick of the black wheels everywhere. Will swap out the tires when the factories run down.
@Discount Tire - Method's site has the 703 in Oxford White for Broncos. Your site doesn't have them in that color - any chance you can get them or do I have to go direct through Method or Ford? I get all my tires through Discount as I can walk to one from my office.
I've had this enclosure for about a year and a half now, and overall it works well. My one major complaint is that most of the hardware has rusted. The entire point of this thing is for security when the top is off/down, so presumably they should know it will get rained on once in a while. It...
One would think that after about 20 years of exponential personal technology growth that dominates a massive percentage of our global economy, the primary response to any major issue could be something more pinpointed than "try turning it off and turning it back on".
Yeah you can't see sh*t out the back when you are backing down the ramp, if that is what you are asking. It is fine when the boat or jet skis are on the trailer because it is up high enough to see but when backing down an empty trailer you can't see it other than with the side mirrors.
The...
I have the Mabett one and it fits and stores great. It is currently hell's front porch here so I use it daily at work. When it rolls up it is tight and narrow enough that I can push it under the passenger seat on top of the lever that slides the seat forward/back, between the lever and the...
I remembered this thread as I was on St. John last week and saw easily 75+ Broncos, which is ridiculous for an island that is only 20 square miles. Most of them were Sports, but I probably saw at least 25 distinct full-sized of all different trim levels including a FE. All the rental car...
It was easy enough to cut with a razor blade and scissors. It works fine for anything short of a full spill of an entire bottle of liquid. Once the cargo enclosure is installed you wouldn't want to uninstall it often, so it is either cut down the existing mat or throw it out, you won't have...
I have the Husky mat and it would not originally fit with the cargo enclosure, but I cut the mat down to size and it works just fine. I cut the passenger side edge and then had to widen the openings around the cargo tie downs to get it to lay down flat, but it looks fine and serves its purpose.
With the current design, just switching the hardware wouldn't make anything quick release. The time isn't in ratcheting the nuts on, it is in lining up the plates and bolt holes. Even with quick release hardware you wouldn't want to dis- and re- assemble this with any frequency. I do agree...
I'll answer my own question. The tolerances were too tight to install it on top of the mat. Even without the mat, getting the last rear bolt in was a chore. So I installed the enclosure and then cut the mat to fit inside it. It fits very well and I think will protect the floor fine enough...
Is this able to be installed on top of an aftermarket cargo mat or are the tolerances too tight? I put muddy baseball gear in the back all the time so I love the Husky cargo mat, but I would like to be able to lock the area as well for when the top is down.
