I'll maintain my point that the fuel (gas, diesel, or electricity) all do cost different. Because my off-road needs are relatively mild a Rivian would actually do quite nicely. and in hindsight I should have put in an order for one of those instead of a Bronco. However, the one I'm even more...
I pretty much lost interest in my Bronco order, and anything else from Ford EVER, as soon as their modified allocation scheme meant I would be waiting for multiple years for it, this after exactly following their instructions (at the time) about choosing my dealer. Even if they were to extend...
Yeah, not holding my breath that Ford will extend PP that long. Projecting out, it looks like I might be late '24. Which might actually be worse since I thought '25 is the refresh year.
Granger mid-October reservation. Back in 2020 Ford told me to choose my dealer when placing the reservation and they would build them roughly in reservation order. Since NONE of the dealers in Colorado would even return my calls I found the best, most transparent and professional dealer out...
By the time Ford decides to build my 2020 reservation order in 2024/5 gas prices may have recovered. ;)
On a more serious note, when Ford fails to continue PP I will not be reordering and gas prices are a part of that decision, however a bigger reason is I really don't want to buy one right...
I'm feeling particularly snarky this morning so I'll remind people that at this point any comment along the lines of "Ford said..." has just about as much usefulness as "My dealer said..." They have changed the "rules" too many times for me to take anything they say seriously.
For me it's the estimated 2024/5 build date.
Even with chip and commodity constraints, Ford could have built most (non-modtop) reservation orders in 2022 and all in 2023. They are intentionally choosing not to. Every time I see a post by some walk-in yahoo bragging about how they...
Apologies in advance for the longish answer especially since it isnāt a single easy-to-compare vehicle like a Wrangler which might be relevant to this forum.
Because it doesnāt really cost me anything to keep reordering my same Bronco build so long as they keep offering the price protection...
Even if they donāt, they will force me to abandoned it. They have already stated that price protection is only through ā23. Their modified allocation system means I wonāt be seeing my build until after that. So no price protection for me. While I could easily afford any realistic price...
Because keeping the price protection program alive year after year after year after year costs them money. Honestly, it would be cheaper for them to just to build my order but for some reason they have dug in on principal that Granger should be punished for "abusing the reservation system". I...
Still won't help me since Ford apparently won't build my 2021 order until well after that. My expectation is that Ford will simply cancel my reservation/order sometime in '23 and may or may not refund my completely worthless $100 deposit. Not that I really care anymore. With the refresh...
This is not overly confidence inspiring for me since the nearest (very small) Ford dealer is 100 miles away. Hopefully they get these kinds of things figured out before 2025 when Ford builds my 20201 order.
I understand your point, but could still wish that they would use those limited commodities to build reservations orders before new dealer or walk-in orders; which according to a number of posts on this forum has not been the case.
Since I'm also west slope Colorado I love that they are just around the corner. If Ford ever decides to build my order I plan to drop it off for the full package of all the bits talked about in this video. Heck by then even the hidden winch bumper will probably be ready...
By the time Ford might decide to sell me my Grangtober order they might actually offer a hybrid.
Not that I really care any more. Given the way Ford has pushed my order into oblivion I've already moved on. I realize it's a completely different kind of vehicle and in a different price range...
I've basically lost interest in the Bronco, after all it will be an "old" model due to be refreshed by the time I would see my build. While it seems to be a waste of Granger's staff time, it doesn't really cost me anything to reorder year after year. However, I'm willing to bet that Ford will...
This XPEL matte wrap needs to show up in this thread. Super jealous that 1) they actually have a Bronco before '25 and 2) IMO this wrap looks fantastic on Carbonized Gray.
