Geesh…. I just sold my 76 Bronco a couple of years ago. Had it for 25 years. My two daughters were stunned when I sold it. Just needed the money for a company I was starting. Tough day.
I sent them the video. Maybe they will do the same. Lol
I was at super cel east and the Ford guy at the overland concept toldme the badlands suspension adds about 1” of lift. i May have misunderstood this part but I thought he said the lift was a simple spacer on top of the strut. I do think The shocks and bump stops are different as well.
this guy...

On a 4 runner or Tacoma you have to lift it to fit 35s. Everything changes. I would hope the Bronco is designed to handle the 35s better than the Toyota’s. You can get the Toyota’s to handle better if you spend enough money. No matter what it is a lot of rubber under you. Dont let me scare...
As the OP on this thread... don’t get me wrong...
my hard core off-roading days are over. Broke too many things over the years and just don’t like beating up my truck any more.
I do load the fishing kayak in the back of my truck and go to some very back woods places that my truck struggles to...
I will probably get slammed for this post but oh well...
Reading through through posts on this site it is clear that most of the people on here are far different than the crowd on the early Bronco forums. I have had an early Bronco for more than 30 years. Two different ones... 74 and 76 model...
The trip meter has never been reset in my 2011 F150 with 5.0. It says 13.8 with 186,000 miles on it. A good percentage of those was pulling a bass boat but those are real life numbers.
But... it has slightly larger tires so the speedo and odometer are off a little.
My daughter has ordered a Bronco Sport in cactus Grey. So I will get to see it in all sorts of lightning conditions. She ordered it very early so I am think it should be built very soon.
Area 51 looks amazing in person. I would seriously consider it but it looks like 8 out of 10 also like it. I am now leaning toward black or carbonized grey. But I have a lot of time to decide. I am not ordering one of these until I can test drive both the 2 door and 4 door. So it may be a long...
When I saw the MGV in a badlands at super cell I thought it was leather even after touching it. It has a light texture and looks and feels like leather.
Only after talking with the Ford rep did I realize it was vinyl.
Just wondering. How old are most of you guys? I am 57... lived in Georgia my whole life. Only had one vehicle that had anything but vinyl seats and it is my F150 I have now with leather. My 76 Bronco had vinyl and I drove it for 23 years. The only time it sucked was when I ran with the top off...
Not talking about tire size. Several posts back someone said the badlands had 1” more lift than an OBX. Lift and tire size are not the same thing. I was under the impression that if all trim levels had 33s or 35s and no Squatch they would all be the same Height
I knew about the 33” tires. I just didn’t know the OBX had a lower suspension than a non Squatch badlands. I thought if you squatched an OBX it would sit just like a squatched badlands.
