  1. MERUS Adventure Park in Amarillo, TX - Oct 2023

This past weekend I went to Merus Adventure near Amarillo. We stayed in one of their new cabins and joined a blue tour. https://merusadventure.com/tours/ I am from the North Dallas area and the 5 hour road trip there was well worth it. The hiking and 4x4 trails were beautiful and the...
  2. Planning a trip to Moab. Which armor to add next?

I have a Black Diamond with standard Ford skid plates and Barnes rear shock skids. I can budget for one more piece of armor before trip. I'm thinking rear differential. Is that a good choice or should I protect something else first? Thanks.
  3. Medano Pass- August 2023

Just got back from a trip to Colorado. Heard this was a good off-road trail so I gave it a shot. We had a total of 4 on this adventure so the packing was tight for a sleep over in the Great Sand Dunes National Preserve. The diversity of the trail was pretty cool. We started on the East side...
  4. Planning for Modano Pass off-roading/camping

Planning a trip to Colorado in August. Part of the trip will include the Great Sand Dunes NP. The Modano Pass looks like an interesting off-road trail. Anyone on here have any experience with the trail? Favorite camp sites, trail description, etc. Thanks in advance.
  5. GoPro installed as a front facing camera [updated with demo video]

Updated with video: One of the things I wanted but wasn't willing to pay the premium for was the 360 camera in the high package. If it was available on the Black Diamond, it would have been a no brainer, but jumping up to the Badlands added about $5000 to my build. I've been trying to come...
  6. Big Bend National Park camping pics and Black Gap Road video

Recently returned from a trip to Big Bend. Spent a couple nights in the lodge and 1 night camping in one of the remote sites near the Rio Grande. We also read that the Black Gap Road was a Jeep Badge of Honor Trail and from it's description, I felt that we could do it. It was our first...
  7. Black Diamond Bronco Car Camping Build

After 7 months, I finally finished my "Car Camping build". Not quite a full overlander, but good for a few days off-roading and sleeping in the back with an attached tent. Needed to make it both rugged and as comfortable as possible for the wife and I. With a 25 month wait for the Bronco, I over...

  10. Off-Rodeo type experience at Hot Springs off-road park

I got my Bronco the last week of August 2022. I did the Off-Rodeo Labor day weekend September 2021. I loved the Off-Rodeo experience and was looking for a refresher. I found a good one. I did a 2 hour guided tour with Hot Springs off-road park. It was just me and the guide Tony (with a Bronco)...
  11. Front camera solution?

I got the black diamond and love it. When trying to decide between it and the badlands, the ability to see terrain in front of me when going up and over something had me debating the high package. I figured I could get a front camera after market. Anyone try this? I have to have the front...
  12. Capable bumper: Any wiring I need to look out for when drilling?

I am in the process of attaching a Baja Designs S8 on top of the bumper (under the lower facia). My question is, before I drill into that bumper, is there any wiring I need to watch out for? I have the mid package.
  13. Hooking up boom blaster to aux switch

Has anybody out there done this? I am guessing red to full time power (is there another connection point for this besides battery itself?), black to ground, Yellow to aux switch wire to initiate horn. Any help would be appreciated.
  14. Texas North Dallas- BD Rock Rails for sale- Edit: Price change

I just took the rock rails off to put some GoRhino D6's on. Only 70 miles on them (just drove home from dealership). Would like $350 for them. I'll take $300 OBO. Pickup or meet nearby. I live in Little Elm just west of Frisco. Let me know if interested.

  18. Go camping trailer for kayaks

I just stumbled across this trailer and it looks pretty cool. It solves the dilemma of how to get a kayak off your bronco's roof, light as can be and pretty versatile. Anybody ever seen or heard of this thing? https://sylvansport.com/go-camping-trailer/
