Wildtrak - initially I wanted a basic model; however, as I had wanted a Broncos since the 1970's - I decided to go with a Rapid Red Wildtrak. I reserved on 7/27/2020 - but was pushed into 2022 - and had to choose another color - Hot Cherry Pepper. I dropped a couple of minor options but added...
2022 Wild team w/How's 3.0 - Hot Cherry Pepper ----- named ' BEAST'. I'm 6'1" and am marginally able to slide into the seat. My wife, however, is 5'1" - and she needs the help of a step and paracord grap handle I put in. The BEAST is an ideal name for my toy.
That's what I intend to do. I have one on order - but can decline to purchase it if I don't want the vehicle. Given demand - the dealership would probably be thrilled as they could then mark it up.
I think that you have EXACTLY described my current position. I have, in fact, wanted a Bronco since Version One vehicles in the early-early 70's. Of course, I was also interested in the International Harvester Scout - which had a similar look to the early Broncos. I am, in fact, in the...
That - is my dilemma. I will likely drive it off road - some - not hard core rock crawling --- but places where cars generally can't go - and trucks or SUVs definitely need clearance and 4-wheel drive. My wife has an all wheel drive Pilot - which tends to be our 'drive around town' driving any...
Thank you, thank you, thank you - as you are in my exact position. I'm 'old school' - meaning that I've always wanted a dependable vehicle that will 'last'. Having said that - I'll be 75 in a few months - and pretty much any vehicle that I have - whether the Bronco or the 4-Runnder - will...
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate the 'heads-up' on ACTUAL experience with gas mileage - which will likely be about what my 4-Runner gets. The 4-Runner has a lumbering 6-cylinder engine - and I'm hoping that the Wildtrak with the 2.7L - and 10-speed transmission will have more 'zip'.
I'd had a Jeep Wrangler - 2-door - before ----- and it had a bundle of driving and reliability issues. I had purchased it used - and - I attribute a number of the issues to my lousy purchasing decision. I had been attracted to owning a 'Jeep' - and had NOT done enough research on the issues to...
Help! I need the advice of Bronco 2022 Wildtrak owners. I reserved my Bronco on 7/27/2020 and converted to Order on 1/21/2021. After hearing ZERO from Ford - other than receiving a hammock, flag, and couple of other unhelpful things - when Ford announced that they couldn't give anyone an...
I exercised my Plan B the weekend after Ford indicated that I wouldn't get my Wildtrak which was ordered in July 2020. I went to look at a Toyota 4Runner - and ended up ordering 2021 Off Road Premium. It has a thousand+ miles on it now - looks great, drives great, and - if I really want a...
Like many, I've been waiting for a Wildtrak since last July - finalized my order on the first day possible. Then waited for Ford to tell us our build dates in May - and have been waiting ever since. The Ford announcement on Thursday didn't come as a surprise; however, I was disappointed that...
I'll give Ford the benefit of doubt about the MIC issues - but constraint issues with Sasquatch, 2.7 liter engine, towing package, etc are ALL on Ford management in not ensuring the pipeline was sufficient to meet demand.
For those of you that raise and lower tire pressure frequently - what are your favorite portable air pumps? If I ever get my Bronco, I recognize that a pump may be needed for safety reasons - especially in loose sand. I would appreciate your comments and experience. Also - in typical loose...
