I think an easy solution would be a wrap with Velcro attach ends to go around the cylinder made out if some material that will not rip that just covers the cylinder so it can rub with out scratching

As to small pieces when mine blew metal filled the oil pan blew out the plug and penetrated both turbos and all lines- it was like a blender of ground up parts through everything. So not unusual

Every cylinder and all water plus oil blow through out my engine when I’d crashed most likely yours crashed like all of them and the water came from the destruction when it blew the lines. You have someone in service misinformed call Ford

This lastest date now raises the issue for those of use that have had a new engine installed how many second failures happen. Surely you would think that they did not knowingly put a second engine in that has a known issue. But since my new one is dated Oct 2 guess I will see.
