  1. Washboard Effects

I will be out at tea kettle at the end of the month. Washboards out here in the desert just plain sux! Usually driving faster on the washboards helps out by trying to stay on the top of the dirt peaks. Phots can never accurately show depth in desert pics. That is a bad washboard road in the...
  2. Armorlite Floor for Bronco, we want to hear what you want!

I have this in my rubicon. Very nice piece of kit. This product is heavy and once in place it is impossible for it to move or flap around in the wind. The coverage goes up high on the sides, kinda like a tub. It is insulated with anti mold backing and it does help to reduce the vibrations...
  3. Great outing with a couple first-timers (including a Bronco Sport) for 50 miles of dirt

I do many new boot runs. Kinda like paying it forward to show new drivers off roading. Mostly people that have never been in 4hi or even aired down. Just trying to promote offroading and show a little of what these machines can do. Lots of open playground areas out here in the Wild West.
  4. 2.3 blown engine nightmare

Yup. Watch out for those guys. šŸ‘€
  5. Consumer Reports: Ford Bronco is Most Satisfying Midsize Two-Row SUV to Own

After waiting years with a reservation and many delays, of course people will be very satisfied. They had many days to think of their dream ride while they wait.
  6. 2.3 blown engine nightmare

I had zero documents myself because my truck was still at Ford when I initiated the BBB claim (around repair day # 65). The important part is to start the claim. You will then be asked by BBB how do you want it resolved ie buy back, replacement vehicle, longer warranty, etc. The lemon law...
  7. 2.3 blown engine nightmare

I had a 2021 Ford Ranger FX4 lariate that went from new purchase to lemon to Ford buy back In 9 months. The lemon process for me was a very easy transaction that didnā€™t cost me one penny and I never talked to a lawyer. I can only share what worked with Ford and maybe it helps.ā€¦ The Ford app...
  8. Broke the axle on my Badlands Bronco... pics and video

I rarely use the front locker and when I do I try to be in a straight path. Steering is limited when front is locked and I wouldnā€™t try turning as sharp as some of the points in the vid. Rear locker can stay on. I already commented on how good you and your kids attitude was on YouTube.
  9. Pics from 2023 Mint 400 (The Great American Off-Road Race)

I work in Primm where the grandstands and permanent track is at. Every year we get passes so we can get past security to get to work. Always cool when the 400 rolls in, big $$ and chase helicopters show up. That is the place to be if you have suspension or tire questions because many...
  10. Nitto Recon 315/70/17 - Load Range SL vs E2?

Its a Rubicon. Avatar is a Rubicon Easter egg.
  11. Nitto Recon 315/70/17 - Load Range SL vs E2?

@dbattle Yes. Ride should be softer I would say. Above 25 mph the tire rides silky smooth and vibration free. Below 25 there is a very slight vibration (not a problem and no noises but itā€™s there, I doubt most people would even notice it) as the lugs are a little aggressive. All 5 of...
  12. Nitto Recon 315/70/17 - Load Range SL vs E2?

Going off memory from two months ago purchaseā€¦ā€¦. I just bought the exact tire and size youā€™re asking about in SL (standard load). The benefits are gonna be different for people depending on their use and need ie towing heavy loads or not or want extra sidewall protection because they play on...
  13. Clown with a Bat… can’t have nice things

Trying to find some good here. At least the window wasnā€™t broken so you can drive that way for a long time until repair plan is in place.
  14. Clown with a Bat… can’t have nice things

Any reason why? That sux big time.
  15. Bronco Hawaiian Shirt -- Too much, Too far, or just right?

Hell yes. Why not have fun and be proud of your ride (or reservation).
  16. Fuel Gauge Will Not Refill

Hope you reset the trip odo until your janked up fuel gauge is replaced.
  17. First road trip for my BL from Portland, OR to Ennis, MT

Nice report and pics. Good to see peeps actually off the road.
  18. DIY Trasharoo alternative

Itā€™s a good idea for paper trash and lightweigh stuff. I have used my trasharoo to haul 20 pounds of firewood up to a camp sight with zero issues. Had it for 9 years, trasharoo is good kit. And a trasharoo is big enough to put a heavy duty trash bag inside so when itā€™s time to empty you...
  19. Jeep wait time vs Bronco

Common for 3 months from order to drive away. Much longer if your in Canada or want a 392. Jeep has been making average of 600-800 wranglers a day for the past year. Two shifts 6 days a week.
