Ive had Rock Hard step sliders installed on my 2 door since late 22 and they work great. Even my parents who are in their 80 are able to climb into the back seats.
Same robust mounting as the tube sliders. Only issue I had was interference with a front rocker panel fender mount bolt on each...
I can see how this could be confusing but they don't tie the body and frame together. The extra mounting points attach to the body mount bolts on the rubber bushing that attach the body. These bolts move with the body within the rubber mount. The bolts that mount the body mounts to the frame are...
I like it.
I did something similar to my Pinzgauer many years ago. Used Dynamat on large panels and then a couple coats of Herculiner over everything. Looks great and really brought the whine from the straight cut gears on the portal axles down to an acceptable sound level. Used to have to wear...
I read this on the forum and tested it out. Placed a key on a milk crate next to my Bronco door. After waiting a minute and making sure not to touch the fob or milk crate the doors unlocked when touching the handle. Locked and waited 10 minutes and still unlocked. Locked and waited 30 minutes...
I want to bring it to the dealer but suppose the sound won't happen while they are listening. And I don't want them to tear it apart and wait a month for parts/transmission. Stay tuned.
They don't have to tear it apart to determine if its eligible for TSB repair, only listen to the problem...
Bad idea to attach to the frame. The body floats on rubber mounts and attaching the body mounted sliders to the frame will restrict X-Y movements and place large stresses on the slider body mounts/rocker panels.
It would be better to add additional support to tie into the large body mount...
Is there a TSB for Hill Start Assist. Mine sometimes gets stuck on and my Bronco does a nose dive before letting go and lurching forward. Ive been stuck at a stoplight and often in my driveway and have to push it hard to get it to release. Sometimes feels like it's going to slide the front...
A couple weeks ago at Chino Hills Ford.
4 door base with 25K ADM and over 17k of dealer installed options.
$80,550.
So glad I moved my Reservation from this dealer.
For a functional slider, step, rock throw and door ding protection I ordered the 2 door step sliders from RockHard 4x4. They mount to the factory body and pinch seam locations and add two mounts to the frame body mount locations. They are mounted high covering the pinch seam and maximizing...

Picked up my Badlands with Lux 5 days ago and my iPhone overheated on the drive home.
It's been hit and miss since then. With the cost of the Lux package I sure hope Ford gets this figured out.
Same here. Dealership previously said no ADM but the dealership recently sold. Will be transferring my reservation. I had to laugh at the dealers email address "Your Friends at Chino Hills Ford'. We are your friend and we will be ripping you off.
