That is part Mt Shasta in Northen CA. They logged the flanks of the mountain 40-60 years ago so there are a bunch of tree farms with tons of roads. This video is shot at about 5000.
Yep I messed around with the goat modes a little yesterday. They do a good job of combining different elements of the system (shit points, transfer case and lockers) for different terrain. A great thing for folks new to 4wd to just be able to spin a dial and know they are safe.
Yeah I def will do that next time I am out. The shift points and keeping the turbo spooled is THE reason to use the goat modes for me. This was just an impromptu detour. Was going to run errands and couldn’t resist all the fresh snow :) now that I have looked in to the goat mods and what they...
I have not really used the goat modes because frankly I have not spent anytime figuring out what they do. When bombing off road like this I turn off any/all traction control so that you get wheel spin to allow the back end to swing around as needed. So just put it in 4H and turn traction...
I know it has been a long wait for a lot of you (as it was for me) but days like this are why I hung in there. I hope this helps those of you still waiting. Btw these things absolutely bomb through the snow. (2021 Badlands Squatch vs 18” of fresh snow. ) had to shorten clip for it to upload...

Well I got the plug to start working but I can’t tell you how. I could not get it to work using the setting that were posted here so started trying other options. Right now the fog lights come on automatically (auto headlights is the default setting). I think I know how to change that but I...
Here is a close up of the plug, I don’t have the bronco here but I only see two wires in this photo I took yesterday. Does that make sense given your understanding of how this would work?
Well since I don’t have any confidence in my abilities I tried using a multimeter, trailer light tester where you just ground it and then poke stuff :). It is entirely possible I have power there but don’t know what I am doing. Using the multi meter wouldn’t I just put the meter on DC put the...
