  1. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

The cut out measurements are right around 7/8" x 3.25". Keep in mind there's also a bit of carpet folded in between the latches and the lid! Nope, not yet! I've looked around online but haven't found anything yet and may lean towards the DIY route. Post some pics if you get a chance!
  2. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

For sure! Here are the latches. I chose locking ones so that when you put things on top, they don't accidentally open. Worked well during last week's camping trip. I'll get you some measurements in the morning for the cut-outs. Here are the struts. I used the 13lb / 15 inch combo. I...
  3. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

Almost 100% done - I ran out of carpet! :ROFLMAO:
  4. Santa Monica Ford Lincoln - Oil Change & Rotation Feedback

Nice! I'm super paranoid about torque on lug nuts. I've seen all sorts of crazy stuff happen with loose lugs at autocross. Any time a wheel comes off, I do a 5, 10-20, and a 100 mile check on torque to be absolutely sure nothing is working loose.
  5. Santa Monica Ford Lincoln - Oil Change & Rotation Feedback

The tech was looking around for his torque stick - I told him don't bother, I'll redo their work with an actual torque wrench this evening.
  6. Santa Monica Ford Lincoln - Oil Change & Rotation Feedback

Totally agreed. I tried to explain that to the service advisor - I don't want to be that asshole customer that's going to yell and scream at everything.
  7. Santa Monica Ford Lincoln - Oil Change & Rotation Feedback

Comedy of errors today. They sent out mobile service to my place to remedy things. The service van didn't have the oil or filter for the Bronco, and the techs walked around hitting every lug nut with an impact gun. Looks like another service appointment.
  8. Santa Monica Ford Lincoln - Oil Change & Rotation Feedback

Long story short: - 3 out of 4 wheels on my Badlands had loose lug nuts (I went out and checked by hand) - None of the wheels were inflated properly (I had aired down a while back for off-roading and figured I'd tackle the air-up during the service) My gut noticed a few things when I left the...
  9. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

It's a shame with that silly seat height difference in the back - I saw some folks with Jeep Gladiators do a seat delete and install full-length drawers. Tempting for me but I still want to be able to bring friends along so this will have to do. At least this provides me with a somewhat flat...
  10. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

Thank you! When I first went about drafting plans, I had goals of putting drawers in and all that but I realized there's not a lot of space to work with. After calculating the dimensions of the cabinet and drawer hardware, you're left with two drawers, with the approximately dimensions of...
  11. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

Gas shocks came in and got them mounted tonight!
  12. Any reason to stick with stealership for oil changes?

If you've got the time and you're handy, do it yourself. Some days I don't mind getting under the Bronco, some days / weeks, I don't have the time, energy, or desire and getting it to the dealership is easy enough (for me). I also use the dealership because they gave me a small service...

  14. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

Ok - I was over-complicating this way too much. For the frame I used some poplar lumber I had (3" tall x .75" thick) and picked up a 4' x 4' sheet of .5" plywood from Home Depot. Measurements: Front support: 41" long x 3" tall x .75" wide Left and right supports: 28" long x 3" tall x .75"...
  15. Ford Releases 7 Pin Tow Wiring for Factory Installation

Slightly on / off topic, if anyone has this bracket, I'll be glad to take it off your hands. Will send you cash for shipping & handling! I wish I had waited just a bit - I put together an entire tow package with Curt products about two months ago, just need the bracket to finish installing...

  17. Building a low-profile drawer system for my Badlands - what's your input?

Hi all, I'd love your input and ideas on how to build my drawer system. Requirements: - Dual drawers - Access to the jack storage compartment - Access to the drawers without sliding them open - Drawers will be for storing some recovery gear, camping kit, tools, accessories for...
  18. ICONIC SILVER Bronco Club

Overnight in Joshua Tree for the meteor shower this past weekend. Took the back way up and found a great camp site within BLM land.
  19. What rig / vehicle did you give up to get your Bronco?

2012 X5 diesel. Bone stock, with 200k miles. Having a diesel car in CA is hard - especially when the emissions system dies around 200k miles. Did a 3-week long road-trip towing a 23' Bambi back in 2018.
