Oh, I thought you were probably taking a shot at my work.
Guess again lol
I'm a 2020 reservation holder who recently jumped ship, but I've spent a lot of time here and there's some really good tech forum posters here so I think I'll stay.
Oh and I took a flat piece of steel from a bracket and welded it to the top of the battery hold down, spray painted high temp paint, and it makes for an excellent mounting position for breakers. Before spending money on a nice aftermarket mount, consider this because it looks quite nice and is...
Get them. While I was able to get everything needed for under $200, it's still a pain in the ass doing it the right way.
60A breaker to an 8 gang fuse/relay distribution panel to the switches. Then a 40A breaker to a relay to another relay for the air compressor since the fuse/relay panel...
On that side note, can anyone give some recommendations for a way to protect windshields? I was of the understanding that you can't put a lining in the windshield in any way as it's illegal due to causing visibility issues. (Texas)
A few questions.
I wired my ARB without a supplied wiring harness. You do have a fuse or breaker on the positive side as close to the battery as possible, correct? If not you need one. 40A.
I don't see a ground wire. Hopefully you do have one, right?
I didn't even know what chase lights were before I just Google'd it and read an article. Thank you. Why the hell didn't we have chase lights for both visible and IR driving in the Marines? Shame. It's incredibly difficult with night vision to drive with one a small single IR headlight and no...
I've never owned auxilliary lighting before. I think I'd like some ditch lights for turning off road and seeing where I'm going.
It's a silly stigma but I connotate light bars with d bags though from what I have read, some light bars have essentially driving lights in the center and ditch...
Got a question for you and others here... The alphabet load ratings are just modern X number of ply equivalent, right? I know they can handle a heavier axle as that is stated in most specifications.
Long story short, I really thought an E load rating would make for a worse ride quality...
Went to Hidden Falls I believe it is called in Marble Falls near Austin, Texas. Ended up being a nice older guy in a Rubicon JLU and wheeled with him. I went up to a 3 of 5 in trail difficulty.
MTS/crawl control feels like cheating. It was a fun day. Saw two Broncos, both 4 door Cyber...
Clever plug, @4x4TruckLEDs.com. Yes I have been told the same from ARB. It just needs a mount and to be permanently wired of course. To add a front locker or another port you need the $80ish manifold.
I might fab a bracket but a purpose built one might be a better idea.
So after speaking with Ford Parts and then ARB, I've found that the ARB portable single compressor tool box ( https://accessories.ford.com/products/arb-ford-performance-portable-air-compressor-kit ) is 1) Bronco Bucks (Ford Rewards points) redeemable for $405 + tax and 2) can be mounted like the...
Vehicle-agnostic lol. I like that wording. I guess I should have called a Ford service department but you can use Ford points on a non-Ford? At least the labor part?
I've got a lot of Ford Reward points and now I'm out of the game. My thoughts were to try buying easy to sell Bronco items and selling them at discount here or online somewhere but I'm open to options. I don't think I can transfer the points directly to anyone and sell them unfortunately...
