Couldn't take any more pages of this complain-y thread but a couple things I did not notice anyone say yet after 14 pages:
1. The rear defroster thinks its smarter than you. I use mine in conjunction with the rear wiper when it is raining and it goes off after 5 minutes if it isn't cold enough...
I think this really depends on if there is space for the air to escape ie. if one of the front doors is open or a window is cracked. If a rear door is the last to close, I've noticed it takes a little more effort to close than the fronts especially in the MIC top as opposed to a soft top.
I also opted for these. I will say though, there is no quick release for the bolts on the actual roof section but I just leave those unbolted. The rear cab-over on the 5th gen is so heavy that I don't even have a single bolt holding that one in anymore! lol
I (somewhat buzzed-ly) put the doors in the back of my 4D without anything between them and rubbed some paint off...I (somewhat buzzed-ly) rationalized it by spouting "If they get messed up, I'll just buy new doors."
Yeah that was a mistake but was an awesome experience to be able to take the...
I take the front 2 panels off of my 4-door any day that I can. I get on the highway and have little to no wind issues...thats just my opinion but I'm wondering if it is more extreme in the 2-door. I've had the full roof off with the front 2 doors off and that was a decent amount more windy but...
Just got home from your area last night. Stopped at Saratoga Springs on our way to Moab for the Off-Roadeo. IT WAS A BLAST, definitely recommend. Learned a lot - most fun I've had in a car. Also took my loaner Tacoma down Long Canyon Road and around Shafer Basin Road in the Canyonlands. That was...
Most people have covered a lot of things so far. My initial impressions are: I dont mind that the temperature doesnt display in the dial anymore...its a smaller deal than I imagined. The wind noise (in the hard top) is not very bad, though may take some getting used to. The sport mode is peppy...
I don't care if its cliché or no one else cares: It was on day 578 from reservation to signing the final paperwork. I am so grateful for the 1/3 Build Week group and hope to be *almost* as active on the forum now that she's home than when I was only dreaming of her every night. This thing is...
