    Former Ford owner. Current 4runner owner. Ford engines are more fun. The 4.0 in the 4runner is adequate and will keep on going for a long time, but it's not something I'd describe as fun. I enjoy it for what it is because I wanted long term reliability and simplicity.

    That's how the 4runner is. Most people build a deck if they want to sleep back there. Sheet of plywood and a couple 2x4's. It's easy, but still a little annoying.

    Im an avid angler and bought a fishing kayak...oh...4 years ago? Best money I ever spent! They're awesome! A lot less work than a boat (maintenance/money) and I feel like I catch more fish.

    Front and rear straps are backup straps in case the ones holding the boat to the roof rack fail or get loose(or your rack comes off lol). They're there so that specific thing doesn't happen
