I finally got this sub installed, and it's great for what it is (and just what I'm looking for). Where are you setting the frequency and gain? I'm struggling a bit to get the sound just right, and looking for a little guidance.
Any way we can get that pic? I'm struggling to see how/where I can run the wires. I have a Black Diamond, so the washout floors are a bit of a challenge. Maybe a pic will help me get creative. Thanks!
I have the JL 6.5s installed in the kick panels. Fits no problem, but I'm not using the metra adapter plates. They fit ok without them. Hope this helps!
Pretty close to my exact set up (I couldn't get the factory grills on the rear pods to fit with the JLs, had to go with a different speaker)! Just haven't installed the sub yet.
About how long did the sub install take? Is it a 1 beer, or 2 beer project?
The clips on the grills are pretty low quality, I was close to breaking a few as well...
On the kick panels, I recommend pulling off all of the trim pieces. It's much easier to access, and the clips on the trim pieces are a lot sturdier. I initially tried to just remove the speaker grills, and...
How did you tap into the KP speakers exactly? Did you need to tap into both sides and/or buy additional hardware/wires/connections/etc.?
I'm totally new to this so sorry for being obtuse!
These sound pretty good, and are 40% off right now: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B8TKWS1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Although, it was a PITA to pull off 2 of the mounting points on the speaker (The 4 won't fit, at least in the rear, without pulling 2 off. The Bronco...
Anyone have any luck with a under seat powered sub like this? https://www.crutchfield.com/p_20611HS8/Kicker-11HS8.html
I'm not looking for anything crazy (or obvious, still have some PTSD from having after market systems stolen as a kid), but looking for a little more base than what I currently...
Really great write up OP, thank you!
I'm a noob when it comes to car audio, so apologies if this is a stupid question. How did you end up connecting the new dash/rear speakers to the factory connections? Do I need to buy speaker wires (if so, what would be recommended)? With out a plug-and-play...
Credit where credit is due, I'm also at Evergreen and they've been pretty helpful/responsive to any questions that I've had. Has even been proactive when it was time to place an order (which doesn't seem to be the case for other dealers), as well as letting me know they have a demo (three pedal...
Hi - looking for advice from current/former Jeep owners on soft top viability in NW winters. I have the MIC as part of my build, but thinking about switching to the soft top to expedite delivery (BD manual, only option is the MIC). Plus, with the soft top, I don’t have to worry about storing the...
Hi - Looking for a little clarification, as Ryan's response is a little confusing. Does this mean that Olympia Mullinax prices all of there vehicles at Xplan prices (regardless of valid pin, which I don't have)? I have a reservation at Evergreen in Issaquah (where I live), but more than happy to...
Correct, if you don't trade, you pay the tax on the full purchase price (before other incentives/cash bonus as well, which aren't a thing for the new Bronco, at least that I'm aware of, but just a FYI).
Tax rate in the Seattle area is ~10% (little less on the Eastside v Seattle, but it's...
Hi - Long time lurker, first time poster...
I'm in the Seattle area as well, and have no problem driving down to PDX to get a better deal. Have family and friends in the area, so it's easy for me to pull off.
Any of you guys/gals tax pros out there? I know in WA, the sales tax is based on...
