Well this sucks... I guess this is the end of the road for me.
When they first posted the build and price, I wanted a 4 door Black Diamond with a manual and a white top. Joined the Grangetober crew and rocked on. I knew I had a 2-3 year wait, and that actually worked out pretty well.
When they...
@Zach@Granger: I haven't seen an email from you all about any of this, but I have a Heritage Edition on order. Guess that means my only "sin" is the sasquatch tires.
Do you all have any guidance for the HEs? Or are they more likely to get built than a WT due to not having the MIC top?
Really wish we knew how this was going to affect Heritage Editions. If Sasquatch tires are the constraint, it makes me wonder if they are getting pushed to MY24, and no PP. That seems the most likely outcome.
BL, Soft top, no LUX seems like the best "deal" of the options listed.
New Mexico is a sneaky good option.
We actually have 12 months of continuous camping possibilities here, are <6 hours from Moab, and still have cheaper real estate. Down side is that there just aren't as many good employers here as CO, AZ, and Utah.
4-corners is the answer though. CO has the...
+1 for RCI. I've used them for my skids on my current 4Runner. Great guys if you have any customer service problems, and they make a seriously excellent product.
@Zach@Granger , just wanted to let you know you guys are the only reason I'm still on the Bronco wild ride. The odds of me getting a vehicle at this point stink (what good is price protection on an HE if they are late availability 23???), but having to only put up with Ford non-sense has made...
This is a good question. When I made my reservation, I figured the Bronco would likely be my last gas offroader. My preference is to run vehicles into the ground and so by the time I hit 150k+ on the bronco, I doubt they would let me buy another gas one.
Now however, I don't know. I might just...
I just got one, but I've never put an order together.
I just have a reservation, but suddenly it's showing me with an order date in March of this year???
Its a pretty great deal in the offroader world, as Tacoma/4Runner/Jeep/etc. don't tend to see these kind of discounts very often. Also majorly depends on your market. In NM, Grangers deal is insane, but our jeep dealers typically offer a max of 500 off MSRP. Most people I know drive to CO...
My situation is unique in that I'm perfectly happy to wait until MY23/24. I saw my reservation as an option to buy a bronco for 2k under invoice at some point in the future. I was never under any impression I'd get one before late 22. My calculus was get in 22, daily drive for 5 years, then make...
The main reason I went with the Granger offer was that it was a no B.S. price. Every time I've bought a vehicle new, I look online, figure out what the solid low price people offer (typically in the neighborhood of invoice) and the first dealer that just says "yep, here it is" gets my business...
@Zach@Granger : Honestly, I'm in as long as I have to wait as long as you are able to honor the pricing and Ford doesn't get rid of basemansquatch. My local dealers are absolute jerks. They do things like "this price is only good for the next 24 hours."
With how transparent you guys have been...
I feel so bad for Granger in all of this. They have been the best dealership experience I've ever had by a long shot, so Ford decides to screw them. This is why buying a car stinks.
Anyway, I'm an October res, and as long as the pricing is honored, I'll happily stick it out. Later actually...
Awesome pictures. Not sure I agree with the mod list needed to match the Bronco though. The biggest issue is the freaking body mount keeping you from running 35s.
I've got a 4th gen v8 I've been building up. I've got about 4k in mods in it and the biggest difference in capability between it and...
I wish there was an option for a Base with just the 4A transfer case and manual. That combo is honestly a huge part of why I've stuck by the Bronco reservation this long. I have a 4th gen 4runner offroad build now, and AWD is nice to have if you deal with snow regularly.
Wanting that combo...
Imogene's rating in trail guides is a running joke in a lot of offroad communities. Doing it in a Subaru would require some serious skinny peddle action, and you would bang your tail all over the place, but it could be done.
The main reason for the "difficult" rating is there are some short...
Pretty detailed model:
We were at Costco today anyway, and I saw these. They had wildtraks with top and doors, and badlands without. The blue and red was all they had at ours.
Better sense of the car than any pictures. If I was a Ford dealer I'd buy a bunch and send them to reservation...
Thanks!
This kind of confirms something I've long suspected. That awesome offroad Bilstein suspension is also causing some less than ideal on road driving dynamics in terms of behavior in turns. Most reviewers have had issues with curves. Nothing I wouldn't expect from a vehicle of this type...
