I'm also curious how ACC works with the manual.
Stop and go not being available for the automatic, lack of lane centering, and the limited ACC for the manual (I'm guessing), the Lux price seems high for what we're getting in exchange.
I actually think inline 2.3 is a pretty decent engine for the 2dr. But still. There'll be lots of unhappy 2.3 manual owners if Ford suddenly decides to drop a V6 manual.
I would be lying if I tell you that I wasn't bothered with the missing hero button in the manual. Maybe put a bobblehead on there to fill the space. :D
If you factor in the color as well, it'll most likely be the rarest combination out there. Though that's not really the goal.
I don't see this truck as a technological marvel that'll beat everything out there on off-road. EVs are around the corner and electric motors are going to eat up any ICE...
Just ordered my '22 2dr non-SAS BL in CO. Went back and forth with the engine. But ultimately decided on the 2.3 to get the manual, which better suits the character of the truck in my opinion. Also kept the default capable bumper and the wheels. I could not help myself with the Lux package...
Plan B for me is Golf 8 R. Already own a GTI and if it wasn't for the Bronco, I wouldn't be even looking at off-road SUVs. Having said that, VW messed up the Golf 8 R release as well and it doesn't look like I'll be able to order it in SF Bay Area.
Plan C would be Defender 110. But we're...
I have explicitly asked about this and got told that trim change would not cause a price hike by the dealer. Like many others, I was planning on switching to a higher trim at order time. This saga keeps giving.
I'm pretty sure you can fit an MTB with the front wheel removed and the fork mounted somewhere in the dropped rear cargo section. If you don't have a dropper or if you have a very large bike, you may run into some clearance issues with either the saddle touching the roof or the handlebar...
Do we know the floor to ceiling height for the 4dr, both from the dropped cargo area and second row when they are folded flat? The measurement given above is up to the rear hatch openning, which I would assume three of four inches shorter. But what about the second row?
I would rather have a spare and not need it. But spare delete guarantees proper fit for hitch racks without using an extension, which is more important to me. So yeah, it definitely has its place.
