Got mine installed today. No issues, took about 30 minutes. People are way over complicating this.
To recap:
You can just pry the roll bar trim down from the front side. Previous poster a few messages up was correct.
For 4 doors, you should dremel a small slit for the wires on the front light...
I was a subscriber for years, but i actually unsubbed after that one. The Powerwagon and Bronco were a breath of fresh air. The jeep stuff and the gee golly wiz what a great trip videos are just getting repetitive and now there's not much chance for change in that department.
Thanks, this gave me the courage to pry the white cover off (i felt like i was going to break it). Got the clip with the ball bearing off and it's extending again. now to make sure upon reassembly it's working as it should....
I removed the passenger rear seat belt to try and figure out the source of the rattling. It got itself into a child lock and would not extend. I tried reinstalling it to get it to release, but it was stuck. I completely removed it and it is now fully retracted and stuck. Is there any trick to...
Still considering it but from what I’ve seeing there’s a lot more configuration and tinkering required. What I’ve done so far has been just straight swaps. Nice and easy. Id only do it for more volume.
Went through the same thing. Wanted easy. Ended up doing the dash speakers, 6.5" mabett pods and 6.5" speakers in the rear, key 500.1 amp, kicker comp+ 8" sub, and killmat over everything and the sub box twice. Extremely happy with the results.
I decided to do skyrider. It arrives today so we'll see. I liked retaining the rear wiper and increased access to the back. I'll take the skyrider and the rear clamshell off in the summer (i have a toplift pro and a slipstream so dont want to lose that option).
And so to do that, you'll remove the rails, remove the latch to the clamshell, completely remove the skyrider (intact), then remove the clamshell like normal?
Thanks for the video, I just ordered one. I see you have the toplift pro, I do as well. I'm hoping to still be able to remove the clamshell and drive around naked in the summer. Do you plan on keeping the toplift and removing the clamshell from time to time?
