I have the 2.3, parents have the 2.7.
I think they are both about the same in terms of quickness, however the 2.7 feels like it doesn't have to work as hard to get the power out of it. The 2.3 you spend a lot of time mashing the throttle and is definitely working harder to get the power out of...
Anyone have a good guess if raptor wheels/tires would fit OK on a Lifted 2" standard (Non-Sas) Bronco?
I have the chance to get a brand new set cheap and am considering this.
Thanks!
Anyone else feel like the tune after a week or two has "leveled out".
Either one of two things happens once you've had the tune installed for a longer period of time:
1. You get used to it and it doesn't feel faster
2. The factory computer learns the new tune and settles it down
I swear I'm...
I went with 587 revs/mile on 315/70/17 and it seems to be reading about 3mph fast now on the speedometer vs. what GPS is giving me. Thoughts on the correct revs/mile? If 606 is factory for the 17" sasquatch package, I might go back to that setting.
I have an OBX that originally came with the 18" tire combo. I upgraded to factory 315/70/17 Sasquatch wheels and tires. After getting the Ford Performance Tune, I recalibrated the rolling tires to 587 revs/mile.
The result is about a 3mph discrepancy between the factory speedometer and GPS...
Sounds like we need an Iron Mountain Bronco meetup. I spent some time there for the Bronco Off Rodeo as well as over this summer. Great spot with all kinds of trails for everybody from beginner to expert wheelers.
I've got the Flowmaster American Thunder. Think its price was around that or less. Been great so far. It isn't overly loud, but gives it just a little more rumble.
Got my tune installed. For me it also took a call to Ford Performance to have them change some setting on their end/send a signal to my unit. Not sure why or what, but it works.
A little tricky confirming if it backed up the stock tune or not. Installation/confirmation everything goes smoothly...
For those who have installed. When downloading your stock tune to the device, how long did it take?
For me when I went to programming, it almost instantly downloaded the stock tune. It then prompted me to turn off for 3 seconds. I turned off the car and turned back on and then the device...
Hi Yes. The backseat in the non-leather interiors does not have the fold down armrest. Not sure if there is a cupholder in there or not. I may have mispoke. Regardless, the leather when removed won't fit the rear seats in non-leather broncos.
It is a tough sell considering that the back seats for the cloth equipped broncos are different (don't have cupholders). So the back seat portion will need a new rear bench for those without factory leather.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is the "warranty" that comes with the ford performance kit is simply the warranty for the part itself. It doesn't have anything to do with the factory warranty from Ford. Correct? If so, paying someone to install seems a bit pointless.
