The base without squatch just looks so wimpy now that I've been staring at the more aggressive concepts and trims for so long. I'm also not a fan of those steelies, they just look "lame". If I didn't squatch the base, I'd definitely swap the wheels and tires right after I left the dealership
It's surprising that Ford is leaving so much money on the table, given how . . . "transparent" their intentions with B&P pricing is. So many of these options would be no-brainers a la carte for many consumers, but once they're gated behind packages AND trim levels . . . they'll compromise to...
I don't think it really makes sense to quiet down and accept what the current situation is when there's still some time for things to potentially change. We live in a different age and Ford does seem to be paying some attention to the consumer base online, they have the opportunity to make small...
I'm sure there are some products you can apply, but I really think the best move is to get seat covers. Not the most fun option if you love the look of the bronco seats, but I'm sure some nice aftermarket options will pop up.
Cloth is cool but I don't think it's possible to fully waterproof...
that looks awesome! I'd love to rig up my Bronco like this. Is your front passenger seat removed or just folded down? I'd like to leave the front two seats in, I wonder if that leaves enough room to fold the passenger side down and sleep in the Bronco if I'm 6". I was toying around with...
I think 90% of the stuff is overpriced. Go compare the B&P prices for racks and carriers with prices directly from Yakima's website. Lights and winch are overpriced too.
I think the tube step is a good value, and PPF if it's high quality and installed professionally.
I've been driving well without computers for a long time, no accidents. I think some of those features actually enable people to practice unsafe driving habits such as using a phone - the car will try to make up for your lack of attentiveness in that kind of scenario. Also, the more computer...
I can't see things being discontinued that early on. I foresee more additions and options coming, if anything. Plus you'll have more aftermarket options potentially available to you when you leave the lot.
I don't think the Big Bend presents enough value on its own to warrant the price increase. It just gives you the option to spend MORE money to have a vehicle that's got SOME industry standard features, and a few basic bells and whistles.
You do get the auto tranny included, but if you want a...
Yes, the headliners are attached to the MIC hard top panels specifically. The extra sound dampening in the high package will likely target sources of noise from other places on the body, perhaps the wheel wells (no details yet).
Does anyone have an opinion on sound dampening headliners for 2...
Why does it seem like no one is considering seat covers? If you get vinyl for ease of cleaning but you find it uncomfortable, get some slip over, washable seat covers.
if you are getting cloth and worry about them soaking up sweat/liquids, molding, staining, etc . . . get some seat covers.
I like the tip about leaving the car unlocked with a note - clever.
Most break ins occur because valuable goods are left in plain sight. I don't believe that thieves pick targets at random. One of my friends had his window broken in Los Angeles . . . he had left a camera and lenses on the back...
The most enticing included upgraded in BB for me is the wheels. I really dislike the base steelies (though I'd probably squatch the base).
The real "value" is in the ability to spend more money on options (*rolls eyes*). I really hate the way trim packages gatekeep feature tiers. I don't know...
I haven't owned an off road vehicle before so I can't comment on the potential amount of mud and sand you'll encounter in the bronco on trail.
but I have only ever owned vehicles with cloth seats.
most recently a mazda 3 2010 sedan. In short, I would recommend you get some seat covers. Cloth...
I really like the blue in this photo, it looks way nicer than in the workshop photos. Growing up, my mom had a Ford Explorer EB in a similar blue color (wasn't as complex but it was this kind of Ford blue) and it makes me nostalgic.
But yeah . . . the grey MIC top is ridiculous
