I appreciate your detailed and thoughtful feedback.
The fasteners are black oxide stainless steel (we ship fasteners from Canada to California to have this done). Looks like the instructions just say "SS". I'll try to get that info added to our website.
I wonder if there is anything that can...
Thank you for your support! Let us know how you like them.
I've also passed on that pricing info, thanks. I'm not sure why there's such a big difference between them.
Thanks! For any serious off roading I would remove them entirely, which actually wouldn't take very long. There's basically one size/type of fastener you'd be dealing with. You could remove the mud flap, and the bar it's attached to, leaving the frame mounts in place.
Disclaimer: I would be...
Hi,
These use the shortest "removeable" mud flap that we currently offer.
We will be looking into the possibility of using our non-removable Gatorback mud flaps with these brackets. If that works, then it would allow for shorter lengths, and 1/2" narrower width.
For what it's worth, I have the same issue on my Tacoma. It has factory mud flaps, and factory rockguard partway up the door. The Goodyear All-Terrain tires chipped the rockguard and rear fender flares. I think I need mud flaps AND running boards (or rock rails that extend out further than...
I received this first draft of instructions for modifying the Bronco side step/running board to work with the Gatorback front mud flaps for the Bronco. 2 door and 4 door versions are attached.
EDIT: Updated instructions for 2 and 4 door attached.
I received an update/correction on this. Apparently it's still in discussion whether they're going to include some vinyl protection for the spring nuts. Our product engineer who was involved in installing/testing the mud flaps on the Bronco, said that it's unlikely for the spring nuts to scratch...
2-2.5 inches.
We just got word from one dealer that they were able to move the steps back 2 inches by swapping left and right sides! We'll try to get more details and photos. Curious to see how this looks at the rear wheel opening.
I wish Ford's and our pricing were less, but unfortunately that probably won't happen. Our pricing for non logo options will be a little less expensive, but nowhere near $200.
It's almost guaranteed Rok Blokz will come out with something for the Bronco. This should be a good cheap option, but...
Hey, sorry I forgot to update my post. I wasn't aware at the time that due to an agreement with Ford we have to wait six months before we can make our product available through other sales channels. So the less expensive (no logo) options won't be available until sometime around January.
Ford determines the selling pricing on those particular ones, and are exclusive to them. We don't have control over their pricing. We have less expensive options available in six months, but they won't have the Bronco logo on them.
