I have both. I have zero brand loyalty and never have. I buy vehicles because I like them, not the brand; most brands make stinkers of vehicles from time to time, and most certainly Jeep and Ford are among them.
The Bronco is off to a decent start. I frankly like my Wrangler a lot more, but...
Yeah, I do have buyer's remorse.
I bought a 4-door Badlands/Squatch/2.7L/Lux. What I should have done was get a BaseSquatch 2.7L. The Lux wasn't really worth it.
But it's not just trim level. The truck itself isn't quite what I was hoping for. I wheel, and I bought this to wheel. It's ok...
No argument here! They’re doo-dads compared to a real and useful tool like a winch. I can afford to wait for a “perfect” solution because I mostly wheel my Jeep anyway and I can’t risk damaging the Bronco yet as it’s my wife’s daily. When the perfect kit comes out I’ll get that. Until then the...
Just another quick call to see if anyone would like to join for a fairly short ride in northern Jersey tomorrow. Probably be out for 1-2 hours max from the starting point in Hopatcong, NJ. I'll be bringing my Jeep and recovery equipment. It's a decent little trail with a few rocks and other...
Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense. I hope you’ll be able to offer this in the future.
incidentally, I have several of your products installed on my jeep wrangler TJ. Good stuff.
I’m going to run a short local trail in Hopatcong Saturday midday. I’ll be bringing my Jeep since it has a winch. Will probably be out a couple of hours max. If up to two broncos (or any capable 4x4 for that matter) want to join, let me know asap. Don’t want a bigger group just because it’s not...
I'll probably pass on another Wharton run and wait until folks would like to do Rausch. I'm going this month with some Jeeps and then again for another Jeep "Trail of Honor" run. Then I'll take the Bronco after that. Probably April-ish earliest.
I thought about doing that -- I have the twin compressor on my Jeep and I like it. But I use that for lockers so the "airing up" part is a nice extra. Not sure I want to go to the trouble of mounting another twin compressor just for air. Where will you mount yours? I think I'd want mine...
My TJ on 38s eats gas at the rate of nine miles per gallon. The Bronco is an econo-cruiser by comparison!
P.S. I have a grey Badlands that looks like yours except I'm on the stock wheels and tires (Sasquatch). The 35s looks so small these days. LOL.
I pretty much love everything you did here. Love the wheels and tires, suspension, lift, even the lights. The only issue I'd have with mimicking your light design is interference with a winch, but I love that placement vs. a lightbar above the windshield which is less useful most of the time...
Looks really sweet. I'm looking forward to the lift and 37s myself on my Badlands. Question: I see your "R" on the Bronco logo is red. I've seen that a couple of times now. I have a feeling as to what that might mean, but could you tell me why yours is red?
Me personally, and not a dig at anyone for any reason, just me being me: I'm honestly just going to ceramic the entire truck and be done with it. It's going to get all scratched up. My wife drives it in the NE and the roads here are hard on vehicles. I wheel hard and it's going to get some...
Definitely sympathize. I was frustrated waiting for mine, too. But I reminded myself I didn't own a Bronco, I ordered one. I was out a few hundred bucks, not thousands. Ford could have done better, but I have friends who've ordered other vehicles who've also faced delays. The friction point...
