I’ve always targeted 5-7.5k miles, but my turbos are “shot” because the the waste gates are worn out, which has nothing to do with the oil. Nothing you can do to prevent a waste gate from wearing out. I’ve found out that it starts with a ding type rattle and ends with a underboost.
Yes to all. Early on I used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum but after the turbos went the first time I switched to Mobil extended performance. Did a coolant change to gold in the spring. Spark plugs, filters, brake fluid, you name it.
Update: So my F150 now has 67,000 miles and the turbos are shot again! Last time at about 40k miles almost 3 years ago (I had to look up my op cause it seems like yesterday they last went). I don’t beat it, and I changed the oil with full synthetic every 5-6k miles since the turbos last went...
Someone could make a good repair, or even an upgrade, by cutting a piece of aluminum to match the shaft e and holes of the whole flange and sandwhich bond it to the top.
I found out Ford’s extended warranty is a bit of a joke with my F150. I had premium care with wear and tear items with...
I have 1 Sasquatch tire available. Goodyear Terrritory MT 315/70R17. It was used on the rear for about 1.5k miles. You can take factory specs with a grain of salt but the specs on the tire new are 16/32nds tread depth and this measures 15/32nds. Ideally pick up in Buffalo, NY area but can...
Just wondering if there are updated specs or if anyone knows which specs would be for sasquatch. The reason I ask is because there are 2 different specs for Wildtrak, one is regular, and the other is under the adrenaline rush. My camber has always looked excessively positive and my crude...
Looking at it again today and it is looking better and better. Like all Raptors I think they need a viewing in person to really make a judgement as pictures just don't do these justice.
Looks good. Not sure if it is the wow that looks so much better. I thought it would pop more. F150 Raptor looks way better with painted flares so I will probably need to see this is person before doing anything similar.
Hopefully no harm done. Does this appear to be the level? If so, you might have lost maybe 1/4 quart. That doesn't seem like a lot but I can attest that small amount could look like a disaster.
Btw, that oil filter is a pain in the ass to get to. I have long arms and I have trouble reaching...
Interesting. The wording makes it seem like a problem not specific to your vehicle (as opposed to the block heater harness). How does the paint match look? Bolts? Alignment?
Your blend date was beginning of July?
