Yeah totally. It seems Curt makes a good quality product but their customer service/street smarts have left me with a lot to be desired. Here's hoping this stuff lasts, because I most likely wont be buying anything from them again.
Part #: CRT- 56471 Purchased from RealTruck.com.
Little update though, I went up to Harbor Freight and grabbed a tester dongle thing to test the harness and it Ops checked just fine. Maybe Curt updated the harness for halogens to not need the red wire and hasn't updated its instructions? Curt...
Hey all, sorry for bumping an old thread but I just installed my wiring harness after watching your video and had a question.
I have a BD with the halogen lights, and it seems my curt wiring harness does not have a red wire leading from the module to the drivers tails. Is this going to be a...
I was able to successfully pull mine off with the correct TORX bit with no issue at all. There was a small amount of blue locktite but honestly it didn't seem to "lock" much at all.
I used an 18" breaker bar with lots of positive pressure "pushing" on the bit into the bolts while slowly...
I've had my BD SAS on the beach more times than I can count at this point. I only aired down for the maiden trip onto the sand, after that I kept it at the normal PSI. Never once have I had an issue.
If I were you I would err on the side of caution and air down until you get more comfortable...
Yeah dude, I'll be honest I didn't really police the last 20 pages of this thread until a few hours ago. Holy crap I am eating my hat right now. Some of ya'll are going through it and me sitting at 10 days is nothing.
My Bronco went into the shop on 27 Feb for the TSB and it's STILL in the shop. A 9hr 3-day repair is going on day 11 at this point. They said I may get it back this coming Monday but aren't sure.
Oh and the Service Advisor never once called me to give me updates, I had to call every time to...
While weird those components weren't painted at the factory... without before photos there's really not much to be said here.
Otherwise, It looks good now so that's a win.
Dealer is ordering parts as per the TSB posted. The service advisor did say that there were a few parts on the list they'd get quick, others would be back ordered just like everything with a new model car.
Let me just say I am SOOOO excited to be taking this journey with all of you.

Just had mine in at the dealer for the noise and they're ordering parts as per the TSB. To be fair the car worked fine, and I'm confident in it continuing to work until said parts arrive.
What has me concerned is what that one Ford tech posted earlier. These TSB parts are literally the same...
Just chiming in here for data points and people searching in the future. I have a MY22 with just over 8k on the dial and have had this noise for probably the last 1,000 miles, maybe more.
Moving the shifter to 6th and pulling SLIGHTLY back on it (enough to "notch" the shifter, but not engage...
As the title states, a pair of rock rails off my '22 Black Diamond. They've been on for just under 7,000 miles, never off-roaded, in great shape. Includes all brackets and hardware.
I'm active military stationed in Southern NJ. I travel back and forth to NE Pennsylvania two weekends a month if...
