Talk to the folks at Can Am RV Centre. They have equipped many modern sedans and minivans to safely pull full size Airstreams (north of 6k lbs). You’ll definitely need a class 3 or 4 hitch, 7 pin plug and a really good weight distribution hitch with sway control.
You don’t need 80% of the crap that you think you need. If you are hauling around more than 100lbs of overlanding gear, you’re taking too much stuff.
Look up Trail Recon on youtubes. They run RTTs on most of their vehicles and hit some pretty gnarly trails, successfully. That said I wouldn’t run one for a number of reasons, first and foremost is it’s a lot of weight way up high which compromises handling both on and off road. Same reason I...
I would prefer 35s I think, but I hate the sasquatch fender flares, and I really dislike the goodyear tires. So I'm getting a Badlands with the upgraded wheels and the BFG KO2s, which is a phenomenal tire, even if it is only 33".
I just hope they put actual flared fenders (like the F150 Raptor) instead of wide ass fender flares. As it is the sasquatch package fender flares look like ass, I hope this thing doesn't make it worse.
I’ve done from CO to Oregon coast. Bronco will handle it fine. Provided it can fit. Some of the roads are more like singletrack but it’s easy to bypass.
