  1. Badlands Non-Sasquatch plans

If it's a mall-crawler, the higher gears will be fine. I think your build is lame, a Badlands that isn't used specifically for off road, with a 4" lift and 37" tires...but that's just my opinion. Would have been better to buy a Base and had an aftermarket stereo put in; sound better and save...
  2. "In this episode of TFL offroad, i buy a jeep instead of a bronco"

The JL is very different from the JK, which is different from the TJ, which is different from the YJ, etc. Jeep continues to innovate where it makes sense. There is an iconic "style" and it doesn't make sense to stray too far from what works, but there are significant upgrades. In the last 15...
  3. Went by Jeep today…

I just ordered it so it didn't have any options that I didn't want but made the dealer additional money. I almost never buy "off the lot" with all the ridiculous options that I'll never need and really don't want. Dealers want to sell vehicles at the highest price, so when they build their...
  4. Went by Jeep today…

I just looked at inventory at a local dealer that doesn't normally do dealer mark ups. They have a $85k truck marked up an additional $7k, so $92k for a Super Duty, bwahahahaha. That's nuts.
  5. Webasto May Open Second Facility to Help Meet Bronco Hard Top Demand

That's 10k fewer ordered than what I posted, so they should have anticipated 96k hard tops instead of 105k hard tops. Still, the point stands, Ford knew a year ago what they needed.
  6. Went by Jeep today…

Holy crap, that's way more than MSRP. I ordered a 2D Rubicon for $41k.
  7. Webasto May Open Second Facility to Help Meet Bronco Hard Top Demand

Huh, ordered my 2D Jeep Rubicon soft top middle of May, built in June and it should be at the dealer by end of this week for me to pick up. I don't think it's a soft top thing, but Jeep's ordering system is switching from 2021 to 2022 model in the last few weeks. 2021 closed and 2022 ordering...
  8. Went by Jeep today…

But isn't that the point of a "base" entry-level model, to be basic? And, what's great is you get to pick the options you really want. They aren't all bundled into a package that costs thousands of dollars. I had to choose the High package to get one of the options I really needed and almost...
  9. Went by Jeep today…

Owned two Jeeps (TJ and XJ) and they were much more reliable than the Fords I've owned. Come to think of it, the only electrical gremlins that come to mind were the Taurus, the Fusion, the Fiesta and the Super Duty I've owned.
  10. Webasto May Open Second Facility to Help Meet Bronco Hard Top Demand

One of those points really stands out, number one. Ford projected 80% of buyers would get hard tops. If that's true, how on Gawd's green earth were they not prepared? How did they not get their ducks in a row, knowing up front they would have a 70% reservation to order conversion (projected...
  11. Webasto May Open Second Facility to Help Meet Bronco Hard Top Demand

Gotcha, I understand what you're saying. Just clarifying that 2D Wranglers come with a soft top as standard.
  12. Webasto May Open Second Facility to Help Meet Bronco Hard Top Demand

Not sure if you're kidding, but soft tops are standard on Jeep Wrangler.
  13. Webasto May Open Second Facility to Help Meet Bronco Hard Top Demand

Why are there not soft top delays, if Webasto can't find workers?
  14. Webasto May Open Second Facility to Help Meet Bronco Hard Top Demand

Why open a second plant if you can't find workers for the first plant. That's marketing double-speak. We're going to expand the facility where we can only make half of the products. We have half the necessary people in twice the necessary space. Wow, I feel so much better. They built the...
  15. Went by Jeep today…

My Rubicon is in-state and should be at the dealer by the end of this week. Seven weeks so far from order to (almost) delivery. It's taking so long...oh wait, I had a Badlands reserved almost a year ago, haha.
  16. Incredible wear and tear on GY Territory MT tires

Then why pay "extra" for Sasquatch? (rhetorical question)
  17. "In this episode of TFL offroad, i buy a jeep instead of a bronco"

We buy vehicles because we want them, for whatever reason. We don't buy each other's vehicles because that makes no sense. What Tommy did was look at the features/specs, the prices, and what made sense to him and then ordered a vehicle. He didn't order your vehicle for you, he ordered his...
  18. 2 door with RTT?

Yeah @jaeggernaut , it was confirmed about a year ago...well, maybe six or eight months ago.
  19. Concerning correspondence with dealer

    Four door or two?
  20. So I bought a Defender….

When doing their SUV of the Year review and article, Expedition Portal said of the new Defender, "On specifications and aggregate performance alone, the Defender is the superior vehicle in this test. It is better at everything performance-related except the most extreme technical terrain...
