I haven't had the top all the way down, but with the front part of the soft top open, it barely flaps around at 50 - 55 with the windows up or down, but not bad at all. I haven't been on the highway with the top back, so not sure how much it would flap around at highway speeds.
I have the gearshade also, I'd recommend it as well, ordered mine directly through Gearshade. If I had to order again I think I would order the gray instead of black as I can feel the heat from it when it's 90°+ outside. But definitely way better than having no shade at all.
A few updates regarding the IAG soft top EZ lift assist that I wanted to share after taking the Bronco offroad yesterday.
The soft top or soft top assembly is noisier now than before I installed the EZ lift and makes a loud squeaking noise - this only happens when driving on a bumpy, rough...
Great to see others modding their Broncos! A few updates to mine over the past week:
Installed the Baja Designs Fog Pocket light kit. Then had a local shop install PPF, ceramic coating, and tint. I also had them install the Bronco script badges and the Stickerfab classic logo hood overlay...
@HotdogThud Did you drive the entire road from Sedona to I-17, or just part of it? How bad was the Pink Jeep and other traffic? I'm thinking it will be pretty busy on a weekend which is when I would probably go there.
Mine has some paint scratched off as well in 2 different locations and looks like it happened when the soft top was installed at the factory. I brought it into the dealer last week and they are in the process of scheduling it and it will be covered by Ford.
I saw Plexus recommended on another thread and I ordered some last night, I'll try to clean the windows this weekend and see how well it works.
The soft top windows scratch very easily, the rear window had some light swirl marks when I picked it up from the dealership and I put a nice scratch...
I hate the double honk also, I removed it with FORScan the other night. Not having the double honk is worth the cost of the software license and dongle alone I think. When I was on the trail last weekend I set off the double honk about five times while getting out of the Bronco to spot the...
I installed the IAG Soft Top Lift Assist last night - pretty straightforward install and took about 30 minutes. There were no instructions included in the box so I used their install video.
I see what @Jazer means about the kinks in the side windows. After testing the assist out a few times I...
What part of AZ are you in? I can DM you next time we're going to a trail, should be in a few weeks.
This was at Mesa Table Rd, up by New River. It was a little more difficult than I would have liked for a first trip and I got some pinstripes, but had a great time going through the water...
I bought this the other day - for when you REALLY don't want to see your antenna. I'm going to install large A pillar lights and I thought the antenna may interfere with the placement. I tried a few radio stations and it actually works, although it probably sounds better with the standard...
Mine shipped on Saturday and is supposed to arrive on Wednesday. I'm looking forward to this as well as the paint on my roll bar was scratched to the metal from the factory, so I want to prevent any further damage if possible. I'm bringing it back to the dealer tomorrow to see what they can/...
I picked mine up on Thursday and went off-roading yesterday, got a lot of compliments on the color from other Bronco, Jeep, and Toyota owners on the trail. I think it even looks good when it's dirty!
