With that 4"+ clearance to the flairs, it looks like some 35" will easily fit with the stock Badlands suspension. Perhaps a 305/70-18 (y) or the 315/70 on those 17" wheels.
And another thing .......
Looks like the grab handles are interchangeable. So is it possible to buy some from a BD or BL and bolt them into a BB or Base?
What happened to the stitching on the shift boot for the Badlands and the Black Diamond?
And the orange accent on the 4wd knob? Seems to me they had it right in the pre-production models :(
From this: (Badlands...I'd guess)
To This:
Yes, I know there are 10 speeds in the Auto tranny, not 2 or 3.
It was a simplication of axle ratios, and how it relates to the effect on the engine & pedaler. ? (Powerplant in general)
There's a bit more to it than 4.xx gears turns 2100 rpms at 65 mph vs ...... 4.88 etc....
Think of riding a 10 (or 12) speed bike.
Put the front derailer in the "high" sprocket (the big one)
Put the back derailer in the "high" sprocket (the smallest one)
Pedal around slowly for a bit, then try...
Ok. See, now I gather the Badlands has LED rear tail lights. (Outer Banks & Wildtrak as well, I think)
See, this is the stuff I'm kinda referring to. The "unknown upgrades" with packages.
These sort of things add up & were not listed on the trim level desc. And could cause me to rethink the...
The Squatch pkg is the best deal Ford offers for all models (except for adding it to the Badlands, which is questionable).
The tires/wheels will have excellent resale value and the axle/gearing upgrade is easily worth the $5k. It's great to be cheap. Hell, I'm the king of El' Cheapo Island. But...
Yup. I don't know about anyone else here, but I have absolutely ZERO interest in the Mid or Lux packages. I like adding the ambient footwell lighting, but that's easy to do aftermarket as well. I guess it's avail as a ala cart add on, not sure. But most of the other stuff seems unnecessary and...
I do really love the Orange stitching in the seats on the Badlands w/Cyber Orange, (I also really like the auto frt disco as well, but my guess is that'll prob break and not work someday :( ). Not sure if I'm ready to pony up $14k for that.
Or the blue seat stitching with the Blk Diamond...
Also I realize that resale has not been factored in here. If the Badlands holds nearly $9-10k trade in value over the base.....well, things get sticky, from a math standpoint. But we won't know that for years. Can't wait that long :)
Ex. We bought an '05 Nissan Xterra Off Road new for $31k...
I have to hand it to Ford though, as you can upgrade a Base or BB or BD to the proper axles and gears. That is true NOWHERE else.
A Jeep Wrangler X, SE or Sport will NEVER have 4.11 gears with a Dana 44 front & rear, with lockers. Unless you pull ones off of a Rubicon in a junkyard. They will...
No, but $1000 for a wheel upgrade is a little steep.
As is a $700 upgrade to go from the Same brand & size tire from an AT to a MT. They MT tires wouldn't cost you $700 more to buy at Town Fair Tire than the ATs. Maybe more like $100-$150 more.
For example. On my Kubota tractor the R4 tires...
Hey all, I've looked here, and did not find a discussion on this, I also may have missed it. In which case, my apologies.
And this is a legit question I have. I'm not trolling or trying to cause trouble. I am interested in buying (either a '21 or '22 Bronco)
I just wanna make sure I'm not...
