I’d be willing to bet that Ford plants don’t receive “chips” at all.
Any sub-assembly using them is already manufactured and tested before it is delivered to the Ford assembly line.

I doubt it.
Your dealer will be able to tell you where in line you are in terms of their initial allocation, but that's it - Ford isn't planning on committing to any type of schedule until end of May.
And... I seriously doubt you are getting a Bronco in the summer of '21 with an 8/22...
I’m 100% confident.
But that doesn’t mean I think the Bronco will be flawless. I’m in manufacturing, and I have enough sense to realize that all products have issues. I’m just sure that they will either a) be minor ones or b) taken care of under warranty.
Nobody has any idea of the delivery timeline. Even if they did, it would be dependent on the options you are choosing.
March 22 might be possible, but there are a LOT of people in front of you.
The big upgrades are front and rear lockers and swaybar disconnect. You can only get them with the M.T. on the Badlands.
If you don’t need them for your planned offloading, then everything else is just tech features.
