Okay - I put my 2 door window down at a drive through. It make a sound like breaking ice or glass and would not move. So it was stuck open in 15 degrees. Dropped it off at the dealership where they said hey probably a week before we can get the part.. ok..
They ordered the part - full...
Dude my window went down (all the way) and will not budge. This was not warming up the car - it happened at a drive through. Car had been driven a good 10 minutes prior. It was cold out - 15f. I'm hoping the car was engineered for outdoors or I'm in trouble as I have no need for a car...
Are you really suggesting that our "heavy duty" broncos cannot be left out in some mild winter weather without malfunctioning? BTW this same thing happened to me but the window went down only to not come back up. Really cool driving around in 15f degrees with no way to shut the window. It is...
Welp I’ve got a little over 1000 miles on my 2 door unit. It was 20f outside. Put the window down and would not go back up. Motor was trying to drive the window but the window would not budge. In the shop for a week. 1st gremlin.
haha. good or bad I'll follow up. Anchoring it is the key. There is also a post that shows center of gravity from back to front is about 17" in. Makes sense with the weight of the open rear window. And keeping it level through the lift so not to scratch the roll or snap a flange..
Dude - nice set up. I was thinking of setting up a manual pulley from my hoops net and using a similar strap set up. Any "watch outs" other than the flange? since I'd pull it by hand I would probably feel the flange snag if it got hung up.
Does anyone have the measurements for the 2 door rear cap? i think width is about 70" and the weight 80lbs but dont know the front to back.. Going to see if i can rig up a pulley system on my basketball hoop. if the rear cap is less than 5 feet i should be able to do it with some straps and a...
Has anyone found a portable hoist that will work with the Bronco hardtop? There are some cool one's out there that look easy and are on casters so you can move them around. I'd like to be able to wheel it into my driveway and take the top off in a bigger open area. And preferably leave it on...
