  1. Colorado WTB - FORD OEM modular bumper (Denver)

Saw this one on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/DqLBfnxDb9d6Z4ux/?mibextid=kL3p88
  2. Trans pan w/drain by Dorman

Gotcha. OK, I modified the sheet to have 3 tabs (6.1 QTs drained, 7.1 QTs drained, and 8.1 QTs drained). This should provide a general idea of how many dump and fills are needed based upon the amount drained to get below 10% old fluid.
  3. Trans pan w/drain by Dorman

The Ford tech told me the pan holds about 5QTs and the filter itself as well as the amount that drops when it is pulled is about another 1QT (which is where I can up with the 6.1 QTs in the formula). If you have a better number, let me know and I will edit the spreadsheet.
  4. Trans pan w/drain by Dorman

There is little, if anything, to be gained (plenty to be lost such as your warranty) by using anything other than OEM or Ford approved fluid and as of this date there are only 3:
  5. Trans pan w/drain by Dorman

Without a drain plug a pan drop is needed for a fluid change or a filter change. I watched a tech change the fluid/filter on a 10R60 in a 2.7L and it is both a PITA and a very messy task. I would opine that you will smell burning fluid for a WHILE after the change as it splashes everywhere no...
  6. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

The low one. The high one is used on a new never had oil in it before axle because some fluid is used to "wet" everything. Once filled the low one is used from that point forward.
  7. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

LOL...which is why it does matter. I equate Blackstone to a hobby level lab whereas Polaris is engineering level. Blackstone's anecdotal comments are always good for a laugh.
  8. Conversion--Capable to Modular: Parking Sensors & Wiring Harness

Type A - with 180° connectors. Despite the scratches and need to repaint, I scored a heck of a deal at $200 given the sensors and harness were still on the modular bumper.
  9. Conversion--Capable to Modular: Parking Sensors & Wiring Harness

Yes; I mean my modular came fully assembled with the sensors and the wiring harnesses intact. The outer skin of the bumper had quite a few scratches/light gouges (it was $200), so I disassembled it to have it repainted. Although the sensors are "used", I may re-use them and the modular wiring...
  10. Conversion--Capable to Modular: Parking Sensors & Wiring Harness

So your modular bumper sensors had the 90° connections or was it the capable bumper that had them? I have not pulled my capable bumper off yet to see them, but the modular sensors that I have are all "flat" (180°) connectors and there is no interference. Curious as to what you had to clear...
  11. Trans pan w/drain by Dorman

You can 100% bet that it is plastic. No steel pan would be 7MM thick. https://www.dormanproducts.com/p--265-897.aspx
  12. Conversion--Capable to Modular: Parking Sensors & Wiring Harness

Gents, For those who have gone from a capable bumper with sensors to a modular with sensors, did you use your capable wiring harness and sensors? I understand the sensor retainers are different between a capable and modular due to the curvature of the bumpers, but was it plug and play with the...
  13. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Yep; you can follow my UOAs here. I use Polaris because Blackstone does not use gas chromatography to measure fuel dilution and they are not ISO 17025 certified. They also may not always use the current ASTM testing methodologies. Last, but not least, they are much more expensive than Polaris...
  14. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

I had these in my Wrangler and only tightened by hand with no issues. I just check them periodically and tighten if needed.
  15. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

This spreadsheet that I created may help you make some decisions. Front Axle = 75W-110 or 75W-140. For 75W-110, I use Amsoil Severe Gear as there are few choices for this viscosity on the market. If you want to use 75W-140, Amsoil for 75W-140 is my choice, but Valvoline, Mobil 1, or Castrol...
  16. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Are you looking to stick with Ford branded or aftermarket?
  17. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

If that works for you. I prefer to use the OEM rubber gasket because you will not find a replacement fiber gasket if you pull the FP cover so why bother? The OEM gasket is reusable and does not require that much torque.
  18. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Clean the basin inside the housing with lint free towels only. Do not introduce brake cleaner into the housing, there is zero need--no advantage--and it will attack the seals. The OEM gasket can be re-used at least 10 times and given there is no replacement on the market for the one that comes...
