I used a Walmart air mattress inflater and it worked fine. As an aside, I almost think I like the feel when it naturally inflates when you open it, then seal it shut. Might be an inch or two less in thickness vs using an inflater.
I replaced both front and rear plastic bumpers. Capable on front and OEM steel on back. You are right in that top of rear bumper covered with platic, but looks better and more rugged than original. Front sensor adapters were a pain, but rear sensors went very smoothly with no issues. same...
I swapped for capable and kept oem splash guard intact. It had enough give to slightly tuck up under the bumper. I shaved off the hooks, but left enough of a nubbin to hold the splash guard in place. I ground the sharp edges ad painted tips. Very hard to see unless you get down there.

I went with Badlands alternative rims - +55 offset and 285/70/17 which are almost 33". No lift required, no rubbing and no poke. Was able to get $350 for my obx rims and $250 for tires but felt lucky. Probably easier to sell separately than together

could not decide between Badlands and OBX-changed my order several times. So I created my own blend. Sticker is OBX, but Advanced 4x4, fender flares, rims, tires, front/rear bumpers and cinch strap in lieu of running boards give it the Badlands influence
Now whoever cracks the code to make it automatically start in the last used mode will be a legend. - Totally agree, and shared this as an improvement idea with Ford Engineers at a Colorado event last year
I talked with you before on front bumper and you were very helpful - got plastic swapped for Capable and used same wiring harness. Now planning to swap rear from donor badlands. Ford parts is telling me the wiring harness is different for rear steel vs plastic. Your experience seems to...
