It’s been 7 days for me after calling, emailing, and being told it will be fixed. My unwanted order has not been changed back to my original reservation nor has the reservation changed dealers.
I am trying to be patient, but I am wondering what is the problem.
Yes; they are very responsive to customer concerns, and seem to be doing a good job on damage control. I have to imagine though that only a small percentage are aware of what happened and complained. Ford must be thinking the same thing and must be wondering how long before the uproar fizzles...
Here’s my update:
Huge thanks to Mike Levine who personally called me back and said they will make things right.
I followed his advice and followed up with my dealer first. AJ and Katie at Seymour Ford apologized for what happened and were very professional and helpful in getting everything...
@Rob_Broncowski, @Administrator graciously and quickly helped put me in my place. I will now be known as RobBroncowski Jr.
Is it weird if I call you Dad?
I included my cell phone number when I emailed Mr. Levine earlier today (dashes and spaces removed). He actually called my cell and was extremely nice and helpful. In a nutshell, he said do not sweat it, please call the Ford Customer Relations center at 800-334-4375 and they can and will...
My pleasure. I see you are from Iowa. I bet you are with Granger. The truth is I feel like the knucklehead...I should have been paying closer attention and changed to them a long time ago! :)

***As promised, I said I would update my post to add that AJ and Katie at Seymour Ford apologizEd for what happened and were very professional and helpful in getting...
My credit card was charged on 7/13/20 for a FE reservation date of 7/14/20. The sales manager called today and left me a message saying he was going to convert my reservation to an order and there was no need to call him back. I was shocked. By the time I got off of another call, listened to...
This is the other way you get boned on a lease; they undervalue the residuals. The fact remains that leases are the most expensive way to roll. Dealers love them because they make more money and lessees like the lower payments, the convenience of not having to sell a vehicle, and they get new...
Hi guys,
first post here. I’m sure there will be some cancellations, but I think far more people will decide to change their initial order to something less costly. I have a FE reservation, but the more I dig in to the other trim levels, the more tempted I am to change to something else.
