I have a 2021. The kit comes with 2 sets of push pins. I had to splice in the extra set since those are the ones that fit my harness. Once I realized that it was super easy.
I'll be interested to hear the outcome. I installed the module on my own and didn't change any programming (I don't have Forscan yet). I wonder what changes actually occur with the programming change?
For anyone else finding this thread for the Lumen 4/7 Pin Harness, here are a few things that would have helped me along a little faster. Sorry I didn't take pictures.
1. The bolt for the ground is super soft metal. Just tighten it down to snug or risk shearing off the head like I did...
I'm going to tackle this install over the weekend. As you said, the instructions are definitely lacking. Can you share anymore about the splicing you had to do? Any tips to help reduce the head scratching coming my way would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks for the update. This happens to me every time the truck's electricals are on and the motor is off. Like waiting in school pick-up to grab my kids. There doesn't seem to be any lasting effects to the warnings, but I'm sure I'll find out at the most inopportune time. haha
Could you flip the brackets around and install it on the top now? I have the safari bar, so I'm a little constrained. Something so simple yet so hard! haha
Haha...no brackets to be found, huh? Sounds super promising. Looks like they're charging about $50 for the bracket in their pricing. Maybe I can a local shop to just bang some out for me.
Does anyone have any experience with Rudy's Diesel? They have an interesting light bar kit that will run a Baja Designs 30" S8 LED light bar between the safari bar. I have an FE and the safari bar has grown on me, so I'd like to keep it. Plus, I'm not super interested in a roof mounted light...
Do you mean just disconnect the negative terminal for a minute and reconnect? Is that what you mean by "reboot"? I only have the small screen as well and it's super annoying
I was just wondering if there was something I could spray on it. It's definitely useless after a little bit of rain.
In case no one knows, if you hold down the Traction Control button for a few seconds it complete turns off the traction control creating a donut making machine in this snow!!
Same here. I always wave to other Gen1's. I waved a Gen1 while I was in my Gen6 the other day. The guy was a little confused until he noticed the Gen6 and then got the normal smile and wave going. Personally, I'll wave to Gen1's and Gen6's (until there are so many Gen6's on the road that it's...
