  1. Bronco vs Defender

I don't mind the gif as much since those clickbait yahoos aren't making any money off of it. Who would have thought a tire that specifies 60psi would have a problem at 20? But hey, makes for good video if you don't realize how fabricated the whole thing was. Like many Bronco owners, I changed...
  2. Found the missing 2023 Broncos

I guess I should have posted about this. I was visiting my hometown in mid September, which had me flying in and out of DTW. There were a ton of Broncos parked there at that time, as well. What stood out to me at the time was the seemingly large number of Heritage Editions I saw. I just assumed...
  3. FORD WILL BE FIRST AUTOMAKER TO OFFER DIGITAL LICENSE PLATES

Absolutely, but why allow yet another 3rd party to gather that information? Plus the required subscription is expensive, so you get to pay them for the trouble!
  4. FORD WILL BE FIRST AUTOMAKER TO OFFER DIGITAL LICENSE PLATES

Yeah, there have been a number of dealerships that sell these - some force them on people as a non-negotiable add-on (though I assume you could remove it and get a regular plate, but you still have to pay for it). I guess the difference is factory-supplied, here. I'm not at all a fan, despite...
  5. UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

Maybe too much money is headed to one specific area of government and not the others? (not politics, just facts referring to budget distribution).
  6. Hybrid Ranger revealed: 2.3L PHEV / PowerBoost Hybrid... coming to Bronco?

I have to say, I owned a hybrid Fusion in 2010 and it was totally fine, plus it allowed me to take a job further from home because I was able to take the HOV lane in the hybrid instead of being stuck in traffic that would have caused me a rage-induced heart attack. I had to change for something...
  7. Hybrid Ranger revealed: 2.3L PHEV / PowerBoost Hybrid... coming to Bronco?

This is sarcasm, right? The Bronco as currently produced is anything but "light".
  8. Ford Service is telling me I need to sell my Bronco

It was a different Ford engine, but I had a misfire that led to an engine replacement. First it idled odd at start (both morning and evening starts that day) and the next day it threw a check engine light (along with the rough idle at start) so I drove it to the dealer a few miles away. I...
  9. UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

Elon isn't arguing against the subsidy because he thinks it's a bad rule. He got to take advantage of it and was happy to, but now he wants it gone so other manufacturers DON'T get to take advantage of it (which benefits him, because they wouldn't get to sell at a lower subsidized price while he...
  10. UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

Seriously, who WANTS to work 40 hours a week? If you were given a choice to work 40 hours or less than 40 hours (Same pay), what option are you taking? I've been working 40 hours a week for a very long time, and I'd be happy to cut that back. Currently I work a 9/80 schedule, so still 40 hours...
  11. UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

Sure, that's one data point from one person, but I think it's important to look at who is investing in EV tech when trying to decide how things are going to go. Shell has more EV charging points than gas stations. BP is investing heavily in charging infrastructure. Big oil isn't going to bet...
  12. UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

If only that were true. Sure, hard work often pays off, but you always have to factor in luck. Ask a hard worker who is buried under a mountain of debt from some medical problem that could not have been avoided, and that they tried to plan for with insurance and long-term disability coverage...
  13. UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

I mean, that's fair. I've never been union and in various jobs I've had anywhere from 3 weeks (hiring in) to "unlimited" which included two weeks off at the end of the year for everyone (Christmas-New Years). Frankly I think everyone should get Christmas-New Years off and a month of vacation at...
  14. UAW goes on strike @ MAP Bronco / Ranger factory [ADMIN WARNING: NO INSULTS, NO POLITICS]

Only 3 weeks of vacation after 24 years? You're getting robbed. Sounds like you could use a union.
  15. Bronco to be produced by JMC-Ford in China for local Chinese market [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

There's no shame in wanting a hacked up old Jeep CJ. There's no reason to go ruining a classic beauty to try to hide it!
  16. Bronco to be produced by JMC-Ford in China for local Chinese market [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

This is slightly less bad. I guess I should clarify that it matters mostly with the first generation of Broncos.... 1966-1977. Absolutely, cringingly ruined. It's bad enough when the cut the rear to match the front, but to cut both of them and leave it looking like THAT? I assume someone had a...
  17. Bronco to be produced by JMC-Ford in China for local Chinese market [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Fixed with photo of correct originial Bronco "flares". It's so sad it has become difficult to get a good photo of uncut rear fenders, let alone get an original Bronco with uncut flares. I cringe EVERY. TIME. I. SEE. CUT. FENDERS.
  18. Put 20s on my Wildtrak - Now Roast Me

Forget about the comments and do what you want - you earned the money to purchase the vehicle! Well, except for putting on huge rims with super low-profile tires because we can all agree that would be dumb. ;) You can still off-road on 20's no problem. It might limit rock crawling that...
  19. UAW authorized Strike. Huge Demands!

So you're saying you benefited from the salaries the UPS union was able to negotiate for their members (which indirectly forced FedEx to raise their pay so they could hire and retain workers). You really should be thanking them.
