I agree the weight is ultimately transferred to the pillar, but it sits on the fiberglas channel. I'm not disputing the weight carrying capacity. But the rack itself is thick and very wide at the mounting points...much more so than any aftermarket racks I've see. Don't get me wrong, I love it...
I received my 2022 OBX Lux last week. I read the entire manual and in the section for settings on the stereo, it was default to Stereo and Surround was a second option. I changed to Surround. It was a huge change in the B&O system sound. Maybe check that you are in Surround?
I received my 2D OBX last week and the wind noise above 60mph is loud. I am considering removing it and storing it in my garage and then drive without it to compare. Since I live in Florida, nothing stopping me but energy to do it. And, I just like the look of the rack.
The rack seems way...
Just received my 2D Eruption Green Metallic OBX with SAS/LUX/Tow/Aux Switches/Rack/HD Bumper. The color is fantastic. I'm looking forward to easing it off-road in the near future. I have a Bronco Off Rodeo reservation for March 9th at Moab. That should be a blast.
I did this on my 2018 Jeep JKU...but now I have rechargeable, smaller lights that I can charge in the truck. They are much brighter and I don't have to remember to replace the batteries every year (leakage).
This may be out of left field, but my 2020 Ranger felt like that when I first purchased it...it was because of the Start/Stop function when the truck was stopped. Since the idle is so quiet and the traffic making noise, I couldn't hear the engine shut off or restart.
