I live in Lake Tahoe along the forest and during the summer the crowds are crazy, so I pick trails around my area for the weekend and get off road with both vehicles to enjoy solitude with my two dogs. Iām not a rock crawler, but I will crawl over objects to get to those places I want to see and...
No! I didnāt like the tubular look of the Gobi, so that was out of the question for me.
When I remove it, I will take the front support bolts off and the rear four support bolt on each side and each support brace on each side. It took a while to assemble, but removing it will be very easy and...
Finally soft top owners have options since last year. I opted with JCR. Itās super solid and completely trust my lightweight Inspired Overland on it. I took it off road to Lake Leavitt off highway 108 where the Marines train at 9400 elevation. It handled off road just fine! I use my own weight...
No, not there. Expand your picture up in the top of the side brace where the two silver screws are. Just below the silver screws there is a metal bracket that goes in between the top and the side window and bolts onto the the Bronco. That metal bracket is separating the side window and the top...
I just came back from a Lake in the Eastern Sierras and took my two dogs and me in my 4 door for the first time. I thought I over packed and ended up using just about everything I stuffed into it. If I had a two door I would have to ditch the roof top tent and use ground tent, to free up roof...
I just got back from Leavitt Lake at the 9600 elevation and the it was the first time off roading with the rack and the tent on it. It was solid and I was quit pleased with the roof rack and tent combo. I think I scored a home run with my soft top and tent.
I do have one gripe I think I can...
I just installed mine last week and itās solid! I really like the looks of it over the rest that are available for soft tops. Iām going on a camping trip this coming weekend for a week with my truck camper. After that Iām going to install my roof top tent on the Bronco and I will put the JCR...
Welcome from South Lake Tahoe! My father 82, drives my Badlands once in a while, and he just got one of those F-150 Lightnings for himself. Search for topics and ask away!
Ditto about dogs sleeping downstairs in Bronco. I am going to put together my JCR soft top roof rack and when the tent goes on, the dogs take Bronco interior on our trips.
Oh hell no!!!
Iām definitely happy with my soft top. Iām guessing advanced fiberglass will make a superior product and I will definitely buy one of those after they have been out a year or so.
It looks great! I appreciate the in depth information about the install and effects with the noise and soft top. If I can find some protective tape at a store locally today, then I will install it tomorrow. If I have to order the tape then next weekend.
Enjoy it!
How long was the installation to this point? I just got mine in and will probably open it up this weekend and start the installation. Did you ever get to finish the rest of it, if so, how long did the rest of it take? Thanks!
This is my second winter in Tahoe with my soft top. I was seriously worried about the winters and it holding up with no garage, but happy to say it has held up like a champ, even after one bear break in and epic snow this year. I love dropping the top in late spring and summer.
Iāve got one for you! (22500 miles) Badlands 2021 non sas, 2.3 auto. Had to take it in once for some brake sensor, near the beginning of the purchase. After that nothing bad to report. Had a 350 lbs black bear peel open the left rear of my soft top and busted it, it still works even with the...
