No factory AUX switches. Was thinking to mount a switch (like these linked below) somewhere on/under the dash. Just need to know how to get the 12V power to it 🤔

just installed mine this evening... tapping that wire is a total bI#$&!!
If you have automatic seats I highly recommend putting the driver seat all the way back to give yourself room to work before disconnecting the battery.
I'm just using the door open option for now but would like to...
Let me know if you find out how to do this! I'm hopefully installing mine this weekend but would like to add a switch somewhere at some point to have that option as well (I don't have the aux switches so will need to add somewhere).
Oh damn, good point, I didn't even think of that. You're right, the 4 pin doesn't have a reverse signal :( bummer, will have to hold off for now.
2022 OBX but I added the curt hitch and trailer wiring myself so it's only a 4 pin...
Planning on installing mine soon, will be starting with just the door opening trigger. I don't have the AUX switches but curious if there is a way for me to add my my own switch somewhere? Anyone done anything like this? Or tap into the regular dome lights to have both options (I did see a post...

Interesting, this is good to know, thanks! I'm not that familiar so will probably leave it to a pro but good to know it can be done fairly quickly. I think there is enough clear coat but we'll see.
I'm not even really sure how I did this but I messed up my clearcoat pretty good in a couple spots. 😭 In the main spot (shown in photos) I was trying to get some sap off my hood with some goo gone and a sponge. The sponge I was using must have been too abrasive as you can see the 'cloudy'...
