Going off what fordauthority is stating - itās near a passive drain plug ( depending on trim ) and they specifically stated a concern about hosing out... but we will see where they are located soon versus guessing.
I for one still do not want them at all if they are under the seat.
I see a few things going on here
Vertical mounted shock / shock mounts (versus slanted)
Wider placement of said mount or smaller pan rod
Better mounted rear lower control arms
Hyper zooming on shocks look blurred
Overall looks like the f150 raptor set up minus coils (shown below)
side note. As I have them on my JK, check out rock slider engineering. They are the cleanest slides with a step.
Iām 6ā3 wife is 5ā6 and loves them.
concur the protruding isnāt a big deal if itās close to the wheel - but we all know we are adding backspacing for some new wheels.
O my.. I like Chevy, owned 2 .... but their set ups in the rear need to be taken out to the pasture and shot
The Bronco has a lower control arm that is mounted behind the axle.
in addition the LCA appear dead straight, typical that is a plus on aftermarket parts that are 10x stronger and kosher if you mount to the frame-side versus the broncoās under mount to the frame. Just depends how strong they...
Concur - itās nothing to bash on Ford with the 3.0 Diesel - they just offer so many other great engines (probably to many) and the diesel doesn't make much sense. This is coming from a diesel advocate.
Now look at Ram - 1 diesel, 1 V8, 1 crap V6; the diesel fills a void.
Also I want to like...
A lot of miss information in here on Torsen/Helical Diffs and what is a beadlock capable wheels ā just read up on the raptor.
Anywho everything looks great and what I wanted - just hope they move the lower control arm mounting to be in front of the axles versus this weird behind/below setup...
If they keep the next GEN Ranger the same size - as it is as itās essentially a global platform - and the spy shots of the next GEN F150 or showing itās going to be larger
Give me this thing about the size of what the Rivian R1T is... it fills the need of people saying mid size are too small...
Off topic, from your topic (OT-FYT) but another reason I like the 2.7 TT EB over the 3.0 TT EB, is itās dual PI and DI... from what Iāve read the 3.0 is only DI.
I donāt believe that is the RR setup - from what Iāve read (and on TFL) thatās the 150 Raptorās updated suspension to compete against the TRX. Also itās not a Watts Link (Watt isnāt great for OR) itās a panhard setup.
