Been driving obx beaches for 40+ years. my recovery gear consists of tow strap, shackels, Pretty thick bait cutting board as a base and a bottle jack, Shovel. Also have ARB on board air compressor and a winch. Never used any of it on myself except the the air compressor.
I agree with the overnight cover. Made the mistake of leaving my top and doors off on Ocracoke island NC one night in my jeep. Just thought hey it will be fine we're just parked at our rental house. What could happen. I made the mistake of leaving a bag of pork cracklings in the rear floor...
1) Prefer my air bag system to deploy correctly.
2) most all mounts would require a front camera relocate.
3) don't have adaptive cruise
4) everything thing I mount on mine front and rear blocks sensors.
5) already had LED lighting
6) Found a steal on the Ford preformance winch package new in...
The factory installed modular bumper threw me off for awhile but my guys at my dealership installed a take-off modular and a Ford preformance winch pk on mine with no problems.
looking at gaining some height back too. lost a good inch or more with my winch setup on my 23 wildtrak. even more when I put my cooler/surf rod rack up front.
I've seen some folks post up high winch mounts on the steel capable bumpers. therefore the front receiver should work. I came close to trying that on mine. but I found a deal on a modular take off and the ford winch package. Even without a winch I think the high mount would make a great mounting...
Love my @xrack.us stuff. I've run a front cooler rack on all of my previous beach buggies. Now with the front hitch and my x-rocket rod holders I'm making my bronco even more of a fishing machine. Now just to get back on the beach soon!!!I
Love my 2023 Wildtak. Wanted the hoss 3.0 I don't rock crawl. Mines a forest service road riding/ beach buggy. Just hit the 10k mile mark since purchasing in June. Never reset Trip 1 average since new 19.5 mpg. Check every tank and regularly get 20 to 21 mpg.. That's with trip 2 resets and often...
Your pictures. are going to cost me way too much money. already have your front receiver hitch. but I'm liking your racks a whole lot better than mine. especially since my biggest headaches are carrying my traction boards and my sand spikes.
As you can tell in my pictures. I've been running my cooler/rod rack in my hitch. i wanted it to swing away from the tailgate to have better access to my cooler, rods and the rear cargo area. If it swung the other way it would be up against the tailgate.
I have the other ones already which i purchased before yours were available. But I hate not being able to open the hood without removing them. Love the fact that yours allows me to carry 4 without that problem.
got your hitch already just have to get my winch installed. wish I had bought your trail sight rod holders. they weren't out when I got the other ones and I have to take them off ofcourse to open the hood. I can see that being an issue cause I'm thinking of adding on board air next.
