Android Auto (wireless) works just well enough to continually give me hope, while simultaneously sucking all the joy from me at the worst possible times. 3-4 days of it working, then 1-2 days of it locking up, not responding, not connecting, etc. Rebooting the phone...
So ten days or so ago my Pixel phone updated with the December security/feature update. All of the sudden every time I got in the Bronco, Spotify would play to the end of whatever song was loaded and then the play controls would disappear and wireless Android Auto would freeze. Cut the Bronco...
Congrats! Your ideas pretty much mirror mine. Hitch, steps for wife, window tint, auto-stop eliminator, with maybe a small audio upgrade down the road. Not looking to drive up a cliff or storm Normandy, just want a vehicle that can get me down muddy dirt roads and pig paths on the way to...
I wouldn't argue that. With the mod bumper, the only plastic bits are these covers for the recovery points. Cheap enough to replace, covers the exposed bolts for the points, but yeah, they might should have thought a little more about it.
We were lined up cab to cab. They were looking right at me as they came over into my lane, so I'm assuming they just thought "We're bigger, so move out of our way." Maybe I should have emergency braked, but I wouldn't have cleared their truck and the car behind me was already closer than I like...
So in my part of the world, they are re-working the I-16/I-75 exchange. They have turned it into a single lane only for each, and I have seen several accidents driving through daily because people can't follow the several signs and warnings. Well, today was my day. Some guys in a Ryder rental...
Congrats! Public trails around Middle Georgia are far and few. There used to be a couple up around Oconee National, but as far as I know they've all been closed or restricted to ATV. I'm not sure about the status on local FR's. There was a pretty decent one going through Piedmont Wildlife...
So on my BaseSquatch it seems like every time I approach, it makes a sound similar to locking the doors with the key fob. Now I know there's some kind of intelligent access on the higher trims, but I don't think Base has it (I know the doors aren't unlocked when I get there). Has anyone else...
I think the last sun visor I could use (slightly) was on my 1990 F-150. But at 6.7, I couldn't expect much. I keep saying I'm gonna just pull them off, But they do act as a small shelf for my sunglasses.
The 2.3 seems to have plenty of power (especially in the 2-door), so I wouldn't get too hung up on that.
As for manual vs. automatic, The 20 year-old in me really wanted the manual, but with 30+ years of experience I realized I just wouldn't want to row gears all the time. If the manual suits...
I've owned 3 Fords with auto stop/start. There are several reasons why it will legitimately stop working. I know one of them is if the battery voltage goes below a certain threshold. The vehicle will keep working but the computer disables A.S.S. for reasons...
Of course there's always the...
So I have some info that kinda correlates to this. Since purchase I've been tracking the mileage on my 2-door BaseSquatch with the 2.7, and my weekly driving routine is very predictable (about 65% highway/35% two-lane or dirt). So far I've run 2 tanks of 89 Ethanol-free, and 2 tanks each of 87...
They called me on the phone, but I'm pretty sure they have an official written estimate form should I desire to pick it up.
I've found 2 so far at a similar price, Havoc Offroad and Go Rhino. But neither are available offcially yet. There are a couple others that are available in the $1000+...
Maybe it's reasonable in your world, but not in mine. More importantly, they set the inital price. I didn't. They changed the deal AFTER the dealer recieved them. Fortunately I haven't recieved anything, so it's pretty simple to cancel and the dealer will have a set available for the next...
