As I mentioned, others have said while its in gear, while moving, engine off, that you can not restart it while its moving. So I was wondering if it was in neutral, with the clutch pressed in while moving, if it would start.
I couldn't agree more with you! I wasnt defending Ford or anything...
As others have mentioned, this is very likely a scenario where it was stalled and because you were rolling backwards the wheel speed was preventing a restart. This is likely a safety feature from Ford to not allow a restart while in gear to prevent possible transmission damage. Those that said...
You couldn't have said it any better! Which is why I have a 2 door 6G. And for that matter, I've definitely fit 4 people on my back bench seat before in my 1990. And had way more storage in the back than any 4 door has. I do love my current 2 door, but would have got a 2 door full size over the...
Definitely not angry. And not sure how you even came to that conclusion. And the whole title of this thread is "new versions, variants". So how does me commenting on wishing a full size Bronco was an option to add to the line up equal me being angry? Pretty sure thats what this thread is all...
You're comparing 4 doors vs 2 doors of full size. And even still dimensions are close. If you've ever owned a full size, you would know this is not true at all that the current gen is full size. There is no comparison in actual size of the vehicles, body, and especially inside the cab. My 1990...
Hopefully they come out with an actual Full Size Bronco option based off the F150 platform in the coming years. They said the Bronco name was going to be its own line of vehicles and options/models (like the sport), so hoping that will be in the future. I spoke with a Ford development engineer a...
Here is the image of what is going on. Anyone have any thoughts? On another note, I did have an alignment done at the Ford dealer this morning. They also did the full sensor and camera recalibration for the new height. But it did not help or anything with the cameras.
Has anyone had any issues with the rear camera view with 360 cameras when they install the Rough Country spare tire relocation kit? Its the kit that moves the spare tire up some so you can fit a 37 inch tire. Specifically, when you're backing into a parking spot, looking at the parking lines...
I didn't think so either when I made the post. But ol' veteran offroader Bronc squatch somehow found a way to make it popcorn worthy. There's always at least one in a crowd these days. Enjoy your popcorn!
The irony of your post on people buying a Bronco to be seen….proceeds to post an irrelevant picture to the thread of their own Bronco trying to be cool “off-roading” (If you can even call what you’re doing off-road or four wheeling). That sounds a lot like someone trying to be seen….
Now if...
Looks like some serious "off-roading" right there. Guess if I was as hardcore as you, I wouldn't care about cracks in my top either. Thanks for the deep insight on my hard top issue. Really helped clear things up for me.
My bad on that. Thank you for clarifying. The moment it stated on the first page cracks are not covered, and got to the soft top issues, I quit looking further. The GSB seems to contradict itself then as those are in fact cracks. I sent it to the dealer to let them see the last page as well...

Thats the TSB thats out there for hard tops. And states cracks are not covered.
Couldnt agree more with you. I have zero complaints anywhere else on my Bronco. I actually feel like if it wasnt for this top, this would be one tough SUV. But the top quality and noises is awful. Even more awful that Ford wont stand behind it for warranty. And things like cracks are acceptable.
The problem is there isnt really a market for 2 door hard tops. If it was a 4 door Id for sure go that route. There also isnt a 2 door aftermarket hard top option thats out yet.
Which TSB are you referencing? The only one I saw does NOT cover cracks. And the Ford rep was actually the one to make the call. The dealer wanted to turn it in for warranty but was cautious due to past claims from Ford getting denied with cracks just like this. So the Ford rep for the dealer is...
